Kroketten Bloggers Event, Big Fish Innovation White Party & the Things I Missed This Weekend

I missed some events last weekend, and I was all set to attend them. But if something more important came, you just have to drop everything.. Anyway.. here are the things I missed..

Kroketten Bloggers Event

I was looking forward to it because I looove croquettes! I remember during the two company events I attended in Richmonde Hotel, I ate alot of croquettes, and made a few trips back to the buffet table. That's how I am addicted!

Here's the picture taken from personal album..
Bacon and Cheese Croquettes

Now, Kroketten is here in Manila (in SM Mall of Asia!) and offers this snack for only Php35. Kroketten offers three varieties: Original Kroket, the original oblong shape with ground beef, chicken, and cheese; Kroketballen, by far Filipinos’ most favorite and has three pieces of crunchy potato balls which come with dips; and the miniballen, the bite sized potato balls considered best for sharing. Well, of course, I missed the chance of tasting them.

For those who are wondering, as defined by Wikipedia:

A croquette is a small breadcrumbed fried food roll containing, usually as main ingredients, mashed potatoes or b├ęchamel,[1] and/or ground meat (veal, beef, chicken, or turkey), shellfish, fish, cheese, vegetables, and soaked white bread, egg, onion, spices and herbs, wine, milk, beer or any of the combination thereof, sometimes with a filling, e.g. sauteed onions or mushrooms, boiled eggs (Scotch eggs).[2] The croquette is usually shaped into a cylinder, disk or oval shape and then deep-fried. The croquette (from the French croquer, "to crunch") gained worldwide popularity, both as a delicacy and as a fast food.

Kroketten caters to class A to C, but is not intimidating. The five pieces miniballen is only (P20) and the four pieces mini ballen with the 6.5 oz revitalize 10 or Nutri 10 fresh fruit drink (P35). The drinks are made of the purest and natural fruit juice minus the white sugar, branded exclusively by Vers En Snel by Kroketten. A Dutch word means fresh and fast, it has two signature thirst quenchers. One is a certified health booster made of mango and guyabano, the Nutri 10 while the other one is made of succulent combo of strawberry and passion fruit called Revita 10.

I wish they would open in Eastwood soon.

Big Fish Innovation White Party

I was all set to party, and meet with some blogger friends. I even blogged about it here, and the night before, even checked the mall and bought a nice white party dress.

I was just actually planning to wear the same dress I wore during the company Christmas Party with the same theme. But I saw this nice dress, and it is on-sale! The shopaholic in me kicks in - and I found myself in the cashier area at 10:00PM.

I used to go to People Are People to buy party clothes,
and I landed on the same store..

From Php1,199 to Php599!
Great buy!

My Visit to the Dentist

Ok, so I know my dentist would kill me. Soon. I was supposed to have another tooth extracted last Sunday, but because I went to a team building activity (which I have to write about later..), I would have to let her wait again until next week.

Philippine Olympics Flag Advocacy

I was supposed to swing by Mall of Asia yesterday afternoon to donate a white shirt which can be used to make a Philippine Flag which will be brought to the London Olympics. Obviously, I missed it. I did not expect that the team building activity will be until late afternoon, and we got back too late to fight traffic and go to Mall of Asia.

Now it is Monday again, and I got work waiting for me. I am wondering how I can get to the office with aching muscle..

How's your weekend? Have you tried the Kroketten kiosk? Were you at the Big Fish Innovation White Party?
