Laureen Uy Launches Break My Style App

The first time I met Laureen Uy, it was during the Terranova Store Re-launch in SM Mall of Asia. When she arrived, people started clicking their cameras. I was clueless who she was then. I never realized that she is one of Manila's Most Popular Fashion Bloggers.

Not that she is not that fashionable - she is actually very stylish; and visiting her blog would make you convinced that a certain print would go well with another - or just probably, the ensembles was worn by Laureen, which breaks every written fashion rule.

With every blog that she publishes, product endorsements and brand collaborations, she remained humble and approachable. If that is the secret for success, every businessman (or blogger) should learn from her.

Last October 2nd, Laureen added another milestone in her blogging career as she launches the Break My Style App. Yes, we can now easily access Laureen's blog, fashion tips and giveaways with just a push of a button in our smartphones.

Laureen shared that she presented the idea to the developers and they gladly helped her to launch the app. The team which helped in creating the app is actually the same one who created the MMDA app. Cool. It is a perfect gift for her blog's 3rd anniversary. She does know how to keep her readers interested and engaged. She is creative and innovative. I am not surprised with her achievements.

The launch was attended and supported by Laureen's friends and fashion bloggers. Nicole Anderson hosted the event and it is nice to see friends supporting a friend.

Unfortunately for me, as I came in late, I missed seeing Luigi D'Avola's performance. But I finally got to meet him!! His mom sent me a personal note some months ago to thank me for the blog I wrote about Luigi. Awesome family! Luigi is too cute and even asked me if he looked good in the picture. What do you think?

Laureen's sponsors also supported the launch by providing amazing food, cakes and give-aways.

Laureen is sure an inspiration to young entrepreneurs (not just bloggers). If you really put your heart on something, nothing is impossible. Congrats again Laureen (oh, and I was wearing a black and white peg that afternoon too!)
