[Review + Contest] Tactics Water Gear Waterproof Case and Dry Bags

September 19, 2014

If there is anything that I hate most about the rain, (surprise, it is not the traffic jam and crowded trains – they are part of everyday life!), it is the battle against the water and flood and struggle to keep your phone or gadget safe and dry.

Whenever it rains, I get more intimate with my bag because I hug them too tightly to secure them from water. Thank you to Tactics Water Gear for introducing dry bags, Tactics Water Gear is an outdoor accessories local brand that carries waterproof gear like dry bags, gadget accessories, sleeping bags which are ideal for commute, and or traveling. Tactics Water Gear has different bags in different colors and sizes suitable for traveler or commuter’s needs.

I receive this nice mobile phone water-proof case, and I was back on my favorite table for a quick review.

What’s inside?
Waterproof mobile case
Neck strap
Arm strap
Instruction guide

The Tactics Water Gear Waterproof Mobile Case is made of plastic materials. A simple, thick plastic material with see-through design to allow one to use the gadget even under water. The plastic lid  has screw-like locks.

My Lenovo P770 fits perfectly inside the case.
Make sure that you check the case itself, esnuring that it has no tears, and rips.

The mechanicism is pretty simple, the plastic lid securely seals the plastic bag.
The screw-like locks ensures that it won’t be easily opened.

You can wear the pouch around the neck, or..

.. strap it around your arm, or wrist.

My phone and Tactics Water Gear are set for the dive! I only have a small fish bowl to dip the bottom part of the phone, but I am impressed that it kept my phone dry and safe.

Yes, it is still working!

To fully test how waterproof and durable the Tactics Water Gear pouch, I used my ever-reliable (and always present!), smallest mp3 player, NewKube. I put it inside the Tactics Water Gear and folded and submerged in the water. See the video for the real test:
