What Have You Missed at the BDJ Box #CampGorgeous?

When I left my job, and focused on blogging/writing and sharing stories, I thought I would have all the time in the world. I can do the things that I want, and dismiss the ones that would not give value to my personal growth. It didn't occur to me that after just a few months, I would start working again - oftentimes more than 40 hours in a week. Clients/partners and brands are now my bosses (looks like I got more than 1 boss now!). But the beauty of this affair is that - I am much happier.

Yesterday was another "normal" day. I went to an event - the BDJ Box Beauty Social! But it was more than a normal day when I got home because of different realizations..

Sharing with you what you have missed..

It was rainy and windy, and it was truly a bed weather day. But no storm could make me stay in bed..  I arrived at 3PM in SM North EDSA Skydome and found my friends in the Cover Girl booth. The first thing I noticed when I arrived - everyone seemed so glammed up! I was a Plain Jain in a sea of beautifully clad lasses! So I waited and had my chance in the make-over booth!

Here's my friend having a make-over in the CoverGirl booth!

The Cover Girl makeup artist who did my makeup was so fun and entertaining! She did a brides-maid-like look on me yesterday. I don't usually go out with big make-up and heavy eyes, but I did love my make-up! Please.. check out my look on instagram @ruthilicious ;)

Cover Girl is one of the trusted makeup brands I love because I don't get breakouts from using their products!

I asked for the list of makeup that they used for my face, they gave me this.. Love it!

Spotted on the Cover Girl Make-Over Booth is Nikki Tiu of @askmewhats!
She also helped in doing some of the bellas' makeup.

Most of the brands which participated in the BDJ Beauty Social were makeup brands who setup makeover booths. Some even conducted free makeup tutorials.

Eco Tools are Earth-friendly Tools. They are made with Bamboo, soft bristles and 100% cruelty free.

I wish to get to know this brand more but there were so many girls in the booth! Haha

Loreal's set-up was just so stunning!

Pac Cosmetics was also there!

Revlon treated the bellas with free hair coloring!

In the middle of the SkyDome activity area was where the Beauty Talks were held. It was hosted by Karen Bordador (this girl, I also met at the BDJ event! and I first didn't know that she IS the KAREN BORDADOR!). She's always fun. I got to chat with her about the reality-TV show "I Do". If you guys have not seen the episode yet, tune in every Saturday and Sunday. You would learn a lot about relationships.

Since I got VIP pass, I got to sat down to the rest of the talks. Nicole Anderson shared about hair care and styling. One tip I learned - you can mix a few drops of conditioner and water and pour it in a hair spray. Bring it in your bag and spritz for some instant hair shine! I super love how fun and chic this girl is!

She picked 5 best-dressed from the audience and they won CreamSilk Gift Packs!
Awesome surprise!

Next talk was about applying make-up hosted by Benefits Cosmetics.

The last talk was all about achieving and maintaining Blemish-Free Skin. Of course, all bellas get to bring home a loot bag ;)

Wondering what's inside the loot?
Here you go..
We got magazine, Pantene Conditioner full-size sample
Vouchers and more samples!

BDJ Box #CampGorgeous' loot was not as grand as the previous ones - BUT, I still enjoyed my time at the Beauty Social because I got to bring my friends/readers and met some of my readers!

It was awesome to actually spend time with friends (former colleagues) that I have not seen for a while, and I am so glad that we could just be totally ourselves and be kikay! I was also truly touched to meet some of my readers who said that they love reading my blog, and some even shared that they try (and buy) the products because they have seen them in this site. BIG THANK YOU!!!

Sharing some pictures.. (I lost the ones taken from my iPAD.. but sending loves and hellos to Kim, Rose, Eddy!)

Hello Abigaill!

Hi Rubi!

Hi Jaelle!!! Thank you girl! :)
(showing off her Ye! PowerBank!)

It was truly a fun day! A freezing windy night when we left the venue. We had a fun dinner at Magnolia House. Can I just say, I love everything at the Magnolia House?  I had the Beef Salpicao and it was heaven on Earth! Too bad I missed the other two girls - Trishia and Larae (she's nursing her daughter who is confined in the hospital due to pneumonia). Sad that she didn't get to join us. Makes me think about the country's healthcare system. I wish we have something like nchealthagency.com.

Anyway, see you at the next BDJ Box event!

Congratulations again BDJ Box, BDJ Team and Darlyn! Continue inspiring the bellas and helping brands reach out to the right market :)

Thank you Au and Jaelle for joining! Super fun day!
