Speaking of laundry and housekeeping, I have the second installment of the Electrolux Save & Share Blog Series. It is a web series where 10 of the top entertainment and lifestyle bloggers in the country get to ask Electrolux brand ambassadors Cheska Garcia Kramer, Chef Rosebud Benitez, Chef Bruce Lim and Mommy Mundo’s Janice Villanueva about creative yet effective ways to save household expenses and sharing blessings to others. I am one of the 10 bloggers and for today's story, I got to ask questions to Chef Bruce and #TeamKramer's very own, Cheska.
One of my friends is getting married really soon, and I know she's not used to doing the laundry but she has to learn it and she has to do it. Check out my questions to Electrolux's Brand Ambassadors:
1. Doing the laundry is commonly seen to be such a daunting chore. How do you ensure that doing
the laundry isn’t as difficult and intimidating as people think it is?
Chef Bruce: It is easy! Just pop it in you have a timer so when the load is in you can do other things
like cook! When the timer beeps add another load and go back to what you were doing...
Cheska: Actually I find laundry every now and then to be relaxing and therapeutic. It’s a matter of organizing and scheduling your laundry so that it’s not so tasking. Being organized like what
you put in your laundry, scheduling it properly.
While we talk about laundry, one of the challenges of doing the laundry (aside from loading heavy clothes and fabric, is removing stains.
2. One of the major challenges in laundry is treating stains. Can you share tips on how to deal with
common household stains?
Chef Bruce: If it is a food stain like sauce and what not pat it dry then spit on it. Your saliva will break down the food. then pop it in the washer. A friend of mine who had a dry cleaner told me about
that and it works!
Cheska: For one, find out what kind of stain you have. And then try to take it out with your ordinary detergent. There are also fabric conditioners and washers that you can already buy that can help you manage the stains of your clothes. It’s just a matter of finding what kind of stains you have. In fact, there are even household things that you can find like baking soda and calamansi that you can use when it comes to stains.
Isn't that interesting to hear those tips from Cheska and Chef Bruce? I agree with Chef Bruce's suggestion (although we have not tested it yet). Tomorrow I am planning to do the laundry early morning - and let's see if there is a need for me to apply the Brand Ambassadors tips in removing stains.
