TOMS is such an inspiring brand which history started in 2006, when American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in a village in Argentina and found they had no shoes. He then created TOMS, which advocacy is to match every shoe sale with a new pair of shoes for the children.
Today, TOMS does not only provide shoes for the kids, but also expanded its advocacy to help more people in need. Interestingly, the brand also work with people who share the same passion.

TOMS Spring Summer Collection
Let's not forget the TOMS Haiayan Initiative Collection
TOMS is not just about selling advocacy and giving shoes, each pair is durable and designed perfectly for every individual. This is Haiti, where TOMS is debuting new collection of breezy sandals, stylish sneakers and dressy silhouettes for men and women.
I feel in love with the Majorca Bootie, which is an open-toed boot with a stacked heel. There is also handwoven Huarache sandals and strappy Bella Espadrille and athletic Del Rey sneaker.
For men, there is action-inspired Viaje sneaker, crepe - soiled, beanik -styled Huaraches, and new colors and materials for dressy Brogues.
To pair with your stylish shoes, you can grab some cool shades and for every purchase of eyewear, TOMS Eyewear will help restore sight to person in need. This was launched in 2011 and since then, TOMS has served in 10 countries with 275,000 individuals.
In 2014, TOMS Roasting Co, was launched to provide jobs and clean water to developing countries with the purchase of premium coffee. Truly, the TOMS Advocacy has been a part of one's lifestyle. I never knew about the coffee project. It makes me want to go to the TOMS store and order bags and bags of beans.
In 2015, a new project was launched to provide safe births to mother and babies in need through skilled birth attendant training and birth kits. The TOMS Bag Collection is inspired by the handcrafted bags TOMS employees were bringing back to the office after the Giving Trips in Latin America. The bag reflects the story of the tribes and culture of the people that TOMS has helped.
The bags 3 distinct Line - Artisan, Travel-Inspired Fashion, Campus & Tech.
To give these pieces a more interesting story, we were joined by Victoria Herrera - a travel junkee who is now based in Hong Kong. She said that she first knew TOMS when they were selling stuff in the marketplace. She got interested with its advocacy. She took part in the Giving Trips and she said how amazing the experience was especially to do it in the land where she came from.
I was moved when she mentioned something about "traveling with a cause". I kind of understand how she feels about it. We oftentimes explore cities and get to know culture, but do we actually get to know ourselves when we travel, or at least make our trips more meaningful to other people.
What's your purpose in traveling? For me, to disconnect from my world. And I wish to do that very soon. I am signing off now with a smile on my face.
