Hands-on at Cosmix

I am so tempted to attend a makeup school to make me feel legit and more confident about wearing makeup. Sometimes watching youtube channels or reading makeup magazines are not enough to obtain the skills. Doing a little research on the topic, I found out that students attend the Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry because they want to get the most in-depth training possible in a variety of areas.

The school train professionals who go on to careers at the top of multiple fields including beauty, fashion, film and television and special effects makeup. Getting the best makeup courses possible also means getting the chance to apply the skills you’ve learned in a hands-on manner in real world scenarios.

Interestingly, when people attend the makeup school, they aren’t just learning the theories behind makeup artistry -- they are getting the chance to put those theories into practice. Here are a few of the hands-on opportunities that the school offers that lift the Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry above other makeup artist schools in Florida:

Makeup Studio: The makeup studio gives clients a chance to get private lessons on makeup or to get work done ahead of a special night. Working at the makeup studio and assisting with wedding or special event makeup is often the first professional opportunity provided to makeup artists.

Photo Studio: One of the issues that many makeup artists deal with is not having a professional portfolio. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to obtain a portfolio with having professional experience, creating a Catch 22. Cosmix solves this for the students by giving them access to a professional photo studio, where they can schedule time with photographers and models to create stunning photos for their portfolios.

Resource Center: The Resource Center gives students access to computers that can be used to do research, get creative ideas and complete homework assignments.

So, see you at Cosmix in Florida?
