The Basics + Veloci Camo Watch

October 2, 2015

The camouflage print which is used by military to disguise or blend with the surrounding found a new definition in the fashion scene. I would like to think it is now a timeless piece or an everyday print that one can wear to make a statement, stand out or give a highlight to a rather boring ensemble.

We remembered how Valentino suited up Ben Stiller’s Derek Zoolander and Owen Wilson’s Hansel in custom fatigues for Paris Fashion Month earlier this year. It was like a call that camo is back in the fashion scene. We have seen Rihanna and Miley Cyrus wear the menswear favorite. You have seen me wear camo when I went to climb the Great Wall of China.

Italian-inspired watch, Veloci understands the trend and embraces it with the launch of the new Holiday timepiences inspired by – no less, camouflage print.

The Veloci Holiday Collection comes in two styles. Taking the inspiration from the bestselling Pulse Collection (relive and read about the launch here), the Camo comes in the same power-packed features:
dual-time display
stop watch
alarm
illuminator
water resist of up to 100 meters
The other design is for the more adventurous ones. The Camo Active:
stainless steel top ring
inner ring
200 meter water resist
mineral glass for anti-shock
perfect for extreme sports with a penchant for minimal accessorizing and maximum impact

I really love wearing Veloci Watches for travels and adventures when you watch to wear inexpensive watch but still want to look stylish. I wore my Veloci (with interchangeable strap) during my first trek and falls visit in Pangasinan.

Veloci watches are stylish, durable and water-resistant.

To let us experience the beauty and function of the new Veloci Camo Watch, the Pix Republik Team prepared engaging activities that tested our physical and mental strength like a real part of the military. At the end of the game, we were treated to a boodle feast! Like a true military man!

From dress-up like a military and physical strength challenges to computation and analysis, we were able to use the Veloci Camo watch to record our time and pick challenges in an aquarium – without worry – because Veloci Watch is afterall, water-resistant.
Veloci stayed away from the usual Camo color of cadet gray and introduced playful rogue red and infantry blue.

I was teamed with our favorite fashion bloggers – Sarah, Ava, Christine and Phoebe. Unfortunately, we didn’t win. Though I still can’t get over the banana problem (I was thinking the question was asking how many bananas were consumed at the 15 mile mark – the answer would have been 14.28 bananas – but they say the question was asking for 20 mile mark – which is 19.04 bananas). Okay, I don’t know why I am explaining it here. I just want to make sure I still know my math. Haha
Anyway, Team F here stands for Team Fun! These ladies are teaching and convincing me to snap chat! Haha

Truly, the Camouflage is such a timeless print. I usually wear it to add a touch of funk and style to a boring ensemble – usually when wearing black or plains.
My favorite lazy day look  – plain top, jeans, boots and funky shoes/boots + the new Veloci Camo Watch to make the look stand out.

I remember wearing something like this on my first day in College – black top, (Levi’s) jeans and (Kickers!) boots. I love how the Veloci Camo Watch is so versatile, durable and functional. This is perfect for students and adventurers who want stylish watch which are not too pricey.
