5 Tips in Booking Airport Taxi Service

5 Tips in Booking Airport Taxi Service

We were stood up by our airport taxi service.

And that was the welcome story for my recent travel in Vietnam. Our flight was delayed for 2 hours and we arrived at around 3:00 in the morning. We wanted to save extra time so we could rest in the hostel before our tour at 7:00 in the morning. But upon our arrival, there was no welcome board with our names in it - no sign of car at all.

Getting from airport to hotel is one of the major things I plan out whenever I travel. Oftentimes, we take the hotel's airport car service. But for my recent trip in which we stayed in a hostel (with no airport transfer service), we decided to book an airport car service. But it failed us.

I found myself searching information online for reliable airport taxi service. I have been wanting to go on a Europe Trip. I know it is a long shot but I am hopeful that I can do it soon or maybe next year. I haven't really planned out the itinerary. All I know is I want my entry to be in Austria. I wanted to visit my friend who I have last seen in 2012.

Truth is, I am not as brave as people thought I am. I still feel scared whenever I go and explore other countries. I want to feel safe and secured. One of the first things I need to know is how to go out from Vienna International airport by taxi .

I came across this site  called Airport Taxi Transfers which offers affordable airport transfer and taxi service. I thought if I go visit Europe, there is a less chance I would stay in a hotel with car service, so I might as well research and book a taxi service.

What got me really interested in the service is that the guarantee that the driver will wait for up to 60 minutes before contacting you. I like the monitoring system for flight schedules in which reservations are automatically adjusted based on the ETA

When there are delays in the luggage or immigration (it happened to me), the driver would wait 60 minutes before initiating a contact.

Limousine Service in Taiwan

Taxi Airport Transfers offers different vehicle types from luxury Mercedes S class and E class limousines, to saloons (sedans), estate cars (station wagons) and People Carriers (Mini Van MPV's). They are all licensed and insured. Child seats may also be requested without additional charge.

For someone like me who always brings a luggage (I am seldom travel with a backpack), the booking system will automatically allocate the appropriate car once you specify the exact luggage on the booking form.

Additional equipment such as push chairs, wheelchairs, golf clubs, skis, extra large bags or similar, may also be indicated so the Taxi Airport Transfers can allocate the right vehicle for the airport pick-up.

I wish I could live with just a backpack

Interestingly, the site also offers Tours and Excursions which are suitable for guests' preferences. There are half-day tours which are also perfect for those who have connecting flights and have long lay-over. The service will pick you up from your hotel, or any desired pickup location such as airport, train station, bus stop or private residence.

I love that  the Airport Taxi Transfers service is available in most countries 24/7 offering private and fixed fares.

Here are some helpful tips on how to book a good airport taxi transfer service:

1. Research and read reviews. I would suggest checking TripAdvisor reviews, Facebook page and company profiles. Note the write-ups published by foreign guests with good review standings.
2. Be careful in booking services from third party sites. Our airport car service was booked via a popular booking travel site but the vendor or partner car service didn't provide the expected service.
3. Check and compare prices. You can use app such as Grab or Uber to determine the fare from airport to your lodging. If you are traveling with big luggage, you have to consider the size of the car that you would need to book.
4. Book airport car service with a 24/7 customer service support so you can easily contact local manager during flight changes or luggage delays.
5. Download WhatsApp! This is important in case your phone is not in roaming mode, and you need to be contacted during your flight. Most of the airports have Free WIFI where you can easily connect to in case you need to contact your driver or local manager.

I hope you find this post helpful!
Don't forget to enjoy the ride once you get in the car. That would be your first taste of sights and views of the new city!
