KanDuu: I Bought a Medical Insurance Online for Only Php 1,799 / Year

I Bought a Medical Insurance Online for Only Php 1,799 / Annual Premium

I love the peace and quiet. And I m continuously aiming to live minimally, simply and more intentionally.

This year, one of the goals is to make sure that I am prepared for whatever that would happen in the future - and I mean not just chasing dreams and reaching goals. I have to think of sudden death, or disability or being diagnosed with a critical illness.

Health is wealth, indeed. But my biggest fear is being diagnosed with illness with not enough financial assistance to support my medical needs. I used to always think that some things would never happen to me/my family. But things happened. Our house burnt down. My mom was diagnosed with cancer.  We are so blessed to have survived these challenges but it is always good to be prepared.

When I was younger and still working for a company that covered my health benefits and insurance, I never thought these are important things. I always thought I didn't need these because I am healthy (I would like to think I am), and young.

But now that I am getting older, and working as a freelancer, I need to work smarter to give myself and my family security.

I just discovered insurance packages that allow me to purchase insurance online.
FWD Life Philippines (FWD PH), part of pan-Asian insurer FWD Group, recently launched KanDuu, a set of insurance products that cover you from death, critical illness, or accidents so you "Can Do" and pursue all the things you love.

I checked the available KanDu packages and they are all priced at Php 1,799 / year.

KanMend gives you a cash benefit of Php100,000 once you get diagnosed with any of the 42 covered critical illnesses. Its welcome reward: Six months’ unlimited access to KonsultaMD’s 24/7 telemedicine service. No need to leave the house to consult with licensed Filipino doctors. All
you need is to call.

KanLive has a cash benefit of Php200,000, in case of death and this reward: One-year unlimited medical consultations at any Aventus Medical clinics, nationwide.

KanGuard gives a Php500,000 cash benefit in case of accidental death or disability due to terror attacks, anywhere in the world. Its reward? One-year global emergency services by Assist America for travels. This package is perfect for those who love to travel and go on adventures.

I have previously shopped for travel insurance online, but it didn't occur to me that buying for medical insurance coverage can also be this easy - as if I am just shopping for a lipstick or power bank online.

Php 1,799 for annual premium is a really affordable amount compared to other insurance policies I have gotten for myself. The best part is, there is no need for me to meet up with an agent, or complete paperwork and documentation.

I got myself a KanMend package that will cover me up to Php 100,000 in case I get diagnosed with a critical illness (knock on wood!).

If you’re 18 to 50 years old, you can purchase KanDuu online for only Php 1,799/year at shop.fwd.com.ph, FWD PH’s new online insurance marketplace.

I purchased the KanMend package and I just simply need to fill out an online form and upload a copy of my ID. Payment is via Credit Card or Debit Card (I used my PayMaya).
