At the North Park

I accompanied my mom to the Medical City and we had lunch at North Park. I am no fan of Chinese cuisine but whenever we have family dinners and lunch outs, we always go for anything Chinese. For the record, we don't have any Chinese blood, but with restaurants sprouting around Metro Manila, we go for a place that we have not eaten at yet, and it always happens to be a Chinese restaurant. So I think it is our first time at North Park and I can give it a two thumbs up.

My mom had a Hong Kong noodle soup and siopao (Php48 - surprising!). I ordered a Lechon Macao rice topping, and Lemon Chicken. For some reason, I always order anything pork, and anything crispy; and their Lechon Macao is just so good! It beats the crispy lechong kawali of Oyster Boy! The sause is so Asian for my tastebuds, so I chose the toyo-mansi sauce instead. As for the Lemon Chiken, I am not sure why there is always a need for us to order Lemon Chicken in a Chinese resto, but this one is just right. Not to sweet and sour, but it would never be my favorite. The servings are good for two, and the food is not a disappointment. This confirms all the good reviews I had been hearing about the store. I want to kick myself for dining out at SuperBowl (which service and food have never improved).

The staff is attentive, and did offer existing promos. Although I can pay the bill in cash, I opted to use the credit card because of the free Pinsec Frito (for every Php500 worth of purchase using BDO credit card). One of the few reasons why I am loving plastic money. Hehe.

The lunch costed only P540, and we had the left-over food taken out. Plus, the store didn't rob us with service charge (which I hate!), so my generosity prompted me to drop a few bills on the bill envelope.

Now we're off to the next restaurant on the row..
