When you ask a person what is his/her passion, have you ever noticed the twinkle on his/her eyes? It is like talking about love and your loved one; and just plain talking to your loved one. Maybe I do the same, unconsciously, whenever I talk about the things that I am passionate about. It is obvious that I am passionate about shopping and fashion. Anything that entails design. Design is like a battle of the creative minds and innovative ideas. One thing that I am also passionate about is my love for interior design.
There is something about nice arrangement and well-thought design that influence the way we do things. Who wouldn’t want to work in a modern style office? Who wouldn’t want to cook in an organized and spacious kitchen? Sometimes the furniture, wall hangings and even the simplest flower vase motivate us to do a task.
When our house burnt down some few years ago, I had no choice but to leave a full-time job to ensure that the house construction and designing are well made. With the budget that we had then, and the limited resources, I can say that I had achieved the design and style that I wanted for our new home. Think of the pink walls in my room and white cabinets. The bed is covered with pink bedsheets in simple prints (I do not want anything floral) and the curtains are old rose with cream blinds. That’s my room, my sanctuary; and just simply put, my bedroom where I could relax and have a good night sleep (should I say a good sleep?! omit the “night” since I work at night).
