International Stylist Barney Martin Styled Bloggers

December 7, 2011

International Celebrity Stylist and Pantene Ambassador Barney Martin (who styled the likes of Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore and Lily Cole) flew to Manila and styled fashion bloggers and Gretchen Barretto in an exclusive hair show and workshop last November 24th, in The Loft Manansala in Rockwell.

Before you get excited, I am not one of the bloggers who got lucky to be styled by Barney but your guesses are right – I once again saw Camille Co, Kryz Uy, Laureen Uy, and Patricia Prieto on stage. They were in silver and white ensembles – reminds me of the theme we had for our Year-end Party!

It’s not the first time I saw these girls. But for those not into reading blogs and social media – Camille Co is more than a blogger but a fashion designer and entrepreneur for the line Coexist. Same with Kryz Uy who is a stylist and writer. Laureen Uy is a stylist and budding star of popular teleserye, My Binondo Girl. She is a sister of the famous Liz Uy. I love this girl because she reminds me of my friend and she is just so fine and nice. The first time I met her was during the launch of Terranova Store. Patricia Prieto is not your typical girly-girly type – she is a celebrity stylist and a soccer player too.

The hair show was culminated by Pantene Brand Ambassador, Gretchen Barretto – her signature raven locks were curled for Smooth Waves look, and hosted by Sarah Meier who is equally gorgeous that night.

Camille’s hair is styled in a classic smooth and sleek look, straight and frizz-free. Kryz was styled with the braids look – and with the right conditioner, it stays smooth amidst braiding. Laureen was styled in 60s inspired style with hair partially up but ending in shiny, slightly curled waves. Patricia gave us a peek of hair trend called Modern Nostalgia – with the look of 50s, 60s, and 70s but updated with playful details.

The function room had a smell of Pantene filling the room. I personally love Pantene because it is not heavy on my hair and it smells “yummier” compared to other brands. It is one of the brands of conditioner I use (I do use different brands – I use interchangeably every month).

Pantene Intensive Conditioners come in 3 main variants: Hair Fall Control, Total Damage Care and Smooth and Silky.

These topular bloggers have something to add on their blogging career and CVs! Good job girls!
