Hello, Hello Kitty! Welcome to Manila!

November 11, 2012

Hello Kitty has arrived in Manila! No joke! I was there when Hello Kitty arrived in a fancy car, welcomed by mall-rats, kids, Hello Kitty fanatics and celebrities last Saturday at the Atrium of SM The Block.

It was almost a blur as red, pink and gold confetti came showering as Hello Kitty walked down the stage and got mobbed by media.

Even celebrities like Elmo, Saab, and Maxene Magalona were happy to see Hello Kitty in person. I admit that I am not really a big fan of Hello Kitty, but that afternoon I felt like a kid as I get excited to see the most popular character of Sanrio.

Before Hello Kitty’s arrival, there was a fashion show showcasing Hello Kitty.

Can you spot Francis Libiran? He was the guest designer for the America’s Next Top Model cycle 18 featuring Hello Kitty!

The Magalona’s sure enjoyed the fashion show, even sometimes directing the kids where to go..
Such a cute family!

I am seriously surprised how good the kids are in posing!

After the show, it was time for good music by General Luna. I have seen these girls before, and they look really cool, but it was my first time to see them perform! I am an instant fan like Tessa Prieto-Valdes!

They are all wearing Hello Kitty stuff. Cute. I love the fringe skirt.
I am telling you fringe would be in soon!
Also present in the event – the Quezon City Vice Mayor, Joy Belmonte.
