What Have You Missed at the First BDJ Box Beauty Social Event?

March 29, 2013

I am so looking forward to this long weekend. I need to catch up on sleep, catch up with friends, and catch the dust that is falling from the ceiling (my room needs some loving). But before I start with the broom and dust pan, let me first shared what you have missed last week during the first BDJ Box Beauty Social event.

I was planning to go alone and meet up with one of my co-writers but I promised my mom that last week would be our bonding day. I missed that. I missed going out with mom, checking out stores (and what the mannequins are wearing), trying out new restaurants and shopping for shoes (my mom and I love Payless). So I dragged her to Mall of Asia and we still managed to shop first from Freeway before heading to our destination.

The BDJ Team is kind enough to accommodate us and signed me up for all the talks. But my mom found a spot at the lobby and just sat there and waited for me while I checked out the booths and joined forces with Cher.

So what have you missed? Alot!

Make-over booths!
This is at CoverGirl booth
Browhaus offered free upper lip threading
No, I didn’t try it. I was hoping for a free brow threading though..

Make-up Class with Revlon
During this kind of events, you discover new products..
Check out Yuka – which reminds me of nail tattoos that I used to
wear when I was younger!
Yuka offered free nail art services that day.

But the line was sooo long, so I just lined up at Revlon.
I love their new polishes! Two in one with lots of cool
colors – mostly are in  neons!

Maam was so patient in applying nail polish!

I chose the Neon Pink Color! Looove!
(ugh, looks like Orange here)
Then, there are more interesting products..
Most of them are giving away samples. I got a free elastic bands
from Goody! Thank you!!
I read alot of good things about Snoe from beauty bloggers.
I have yet to try the products.
But I sure  looove the Snoe packaging!
L’occitanne also had a booth!
During the BDJ Box Beauty Social, you can even buy items
from the booths. No need to check out the stores.
I love the pouch! I wish they were selling it separately..

Selena Gomez also has her own signature perfume
It is sweet and feminine

It is around Php2,900 for 100 ml. Not bad.

My favorite part of the event are the beauty and fitness talks.
I only got to attend one – Look Good and Feel Good
by Women’s Health Magazine writer Bam Moguto

After the talk, I am more determined to start stretching and walking
and probably do push-ups!
Here’s the photo wall where bellas can have their picture taken professionally
after walking down the pink carpet (there WAS really a pink carpet!).
I passed the chance for this as my mom and I were already starving.
Here’s Cher and I during the event.
There was a kuya standing beside me and was also
posing with us! Sorry, I had to crop you out!

It was a fun afternoon, and I am not expecting to
receive awesome goodies from the BDJ Box Team!
The Goody bag is just so perfect!
What’s inside? Physiogel Intensive Cream, Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara,
Pantene Pro V shampoo samples, Loreal Fall Repair shampoo samples,
Women’s Health Magazine (the Goody elastic band is from the booth).
Awesome afternoon! Thank you Darlyn, and to the BDJ Box Team!
I’ll see you at the next BDJ Box event,
and when you see me, please say hi!
Were you at the BDJ Box Beauty Social too?
