Live Healthy at Eastwood City

January 28, 2014

Everyone is into healthy food, cleansing juices, and diet plans. It sometimes makes me feel guilty looking at the Facebook and IG feeds while I munch on some chips. It is hard to eat healthier with so many temptations, especially when I was still working in Eastwood where there is so much food to try.

Here’s a good news, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Eastwood City invite everyone to start the year right through the Live Heatlthy at Eastwood City Wellness Campaign.

What to expect from this campaign? Well, everything you need to keep you disciplined and focused.
Healthy Food Choices

Participating Eastwood City Restaurants – Agave Mexican Catina, Cyma Greek Taverna, Mr. Kurosawa, Komrad, Mesclun Bistro, Faborito, Cafe Via Mare, Cloo, Uncle Cheffy, Pho Hoa, Seafood Island, Mr Bean and Detoxify Bar offers healthy choices for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
We actually got to sample some of them! They look so appetizing, but they are healthier.

There is a menu-like brochure that contains healthy choices from the restaurants as certified by Ms. Nadine Tengco, US Certified Nutritionist. This would be available in Eastwood Mall Concierge starting January 25, 2014. They can also check the Lifestyle logo at different establishments to get their brochure. It also contains recommended brands of vitamins and supplements that guests can buy from stores in Eastwood like GNC, Healthy Living and Healthy Options.
Weekend Workouts

An exciting way to lose weight and stay active is to join other fitness buffs on weekend workouts. Free sessions is open to all every Saturday at the Eastwood Mall Open Mark  until March 8 (just perfect until we welcome summer!). Registration starts at 8 AM, and it is hosted by Fitness First and Curves.
Fitness Sessions include:
  • Zumba
  • Retro
  • Body Jame
  • Hip Hop
  • Yoga
  • Body Combat
Registrants will receive a passport-like card and those who will complete the sessions will get a chance to win prizes and giveaways.
I know staying fit and healthy takes a lot of discipline .. so I am sharing with you what Aubrey Miles had shared during the event – don’t make a goal. Simply, make it a lifestyle (like yoga).
Seriously, you don’t need to deprive yourself from eating everything and anything you want, but do it in moderation. Not eating healthy or not eating (at all), will not make you fit (and thin), – it would make you sick. Eating the right food and doing regular exercise (which I need to start doing) are the ways to do it!
