Morellato Style Series: How to Mix and Match Accessories

May 23, 2015
Accessories can truly make or break an outfit. I can’t tell you how much I love accessories. I fell in love with them that I even started making them. But now I live with the mantra of less is more. If there are new rules in accessorizing, we only need to go to award-winning lifestyle blogger, Jenni Epperson to know how to mix and match different sets of accessories.
Morellato, Italy’s largest watch and jewelry brand which was established in 1930 by Guilio Morellato who opened a watch and jewelry workshop in Venice, Italy, introduced the Morellato Style Series The series includes talk from an expert, workshop and discussions to help style seekers match Morellato pieces with different clothing pieces and styles.
For its first series held in SM Makati, Jenni Epperson talked about her accessorizing tips and her favorite pieces. We all know the general rules of accessorizing – there should only be 1 focal point of the ensemble. It could be a necklace, earrings, or your shoes. But Jenni went up the stage with too many Morellato accessories but she still looked put together. How did she do it?
Well, she first shared her favorite pieces – the rose gold pieces, lace-cut jewelry and pearls.
She said said that gold pieces blend well with other colors. The cut-out pieces give an edgy yet feminine look. She shared that when she once worked as a shopper for an Italian jewelry company, she discovered that jewelry makers also create lace cut pieces which are very soft and feminine. Then of course, there’s the very classic pearls.

The trick is to make sure that the colors and style blend with each piece. Always look at the full-length mirror to check how the whole ensemble look.  You can blend silver and gold accessories and break them with a rose gold piece. To make us more appreciate the tips, models were called to show us the different looks one can create with Morellato jewelry.

We were also given the chance to style our model friends! I was teamed up with #TeamParenting with Wilma Doesnt as our model. There was so much ideas and accessories – we spent a little more time styling our dear model. The best part, she is super cool and fun!
Morellato started to specialize in producing leather straps for wristwatches and began making handcrafted jewelry in gold and silver Today, Morellato also brings natural pearls, dazzling diamonds, drops, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and priceless watches.

The #TeamParenting finally decided – white and silver pieces to add some glam to our model’s casual get-up. While the other team really made use of Morellato’s pieces. I love the headpiece!

Well, you can guess who won the challenge! Not us! But we sure had an awesome time!

Before we took off for our next event, fan-girling with Wilma Doesnt and Jenni Epperson. My friends always tell me I remind them of Wilma Doesnt! Glad to know she is as awesome as she is in TV!

Then of course, Jenni is so effortlessly stylish (and fun too!)
