Get Glowing with Jergens + New Jergens Hydrating Coconut Lotion

September 8, 2015
Jergens let us experienced how to glow once again as it hosted the #GetGlowingwithJergens Skincare Fair yesterday, September 5 at the Gateway Mall.

We were treated with different activities from typography classes to on-site pictorials. Jergens and Araneta Center partnered for the event with the aim to help ladies achieve and maintain healthy, glowing skin all over the body.

When I arrived, I was immediately treated to refreshing drinks inspired by different Jergens variants. I love the Lemon Orange water!

I went straight to the nutrition consultation where I learned more about the new Filipino Plate and what kind of food to incorporate in my diet to get glowing skin. If you are following me on social media  (@ruthilicious), you have an idea that I am starting to incorporate more fruits in my diet (I eat banana and grapes everyday) and I just recently started eating green apples everyday.

I then jumped to the skincare expert. We talked about the different Jergens products. I confessed that I use different types (and brands) of lotion for different parts of the body. She let me try the Jergens Healing Lotion which is perfect for roughly abused parts of the body like elbows, knees and heels. I confessed that I usually skip applying lotion in the morning (whenever I am running late). Thankfully, there are travel-size Jergens lotion that I keep bring with me.
Lastly, I tried my hands on typography! I have been wanting to try this and with the help of artist, Coy Cordova, we have learned the basics of typography. We practiced by writing words like Glow, Shine, Live, Learn, Breathe and Happy. It was very challenging. I think I would just stick with my normal handwriting! 😉

To inspire the guests and keep them glowing despite busy schedules, Jergens invited MYX VJ Ai Dela Cruz, PBA Courtside Reporter Mara Aquino and Yogi Erika Padilla to share their beauty secrets and style tips. The girls shared that back in college, they overlooked the importance of proper skin care to which they advise the audience to “not be lazy to slather on lotion”. I am one of those lazy cats. Everything really boils down to discipline.
Well, Jergens makes slathering lotion a lot more fun and healthier for women with the introduction of the new Jergens Hydrating Coconut Lotion. Its formula is infused with coconut oil and coconut water that makes the skin supple and luminous. It is actually very light-smelling and not too coconut-y. This is something that you want to slather on your skin at night to enjoy its fresh scent as you sleep.

It was funny that I totally missed the on-site pictorial booth (which Jergens opened to all the ladies to showcase their modeling skills). I lost my chance to be one of the 5 Jergens Glow Girls, but I know I can glow whenever and wherever. No spotlight needed. 😉

Thank you so much Jergens for having me and congratulations Digify for the successful event!
