Create Chai Tea Latte at Home with Nescafe Drop Machine

November 14, 2015
From Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine family comes the new  Nescafe Drop – and I just created a Chai Tea Latte with it!

When Nescafe introduced the first Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine back in 2011, it has changed how people enjoy their coffee at home.
The idea was to create cafe-style and quality coffee at the convenience of one’s home (maybe in your pajamas?). From manual machines like Piccolo, Circolo and Oblo to automatic ones like the Genio, Melody 3 and Mini Me – these capsule system machines brought many good brews at home.
I was quite impressed with  the new addition to the Dolce Gusto family – the Drop! Taking inspiration from the coffee drop, the design is elegant, sleek and functional. It makes a perfect table centerpiece to a buffet spread. The technology comes from Switzerland and I am really impressed with the sensible touch screen and carefully engineered design.

“What we love most about the Nescafe Dolce Gusto Drop is how one can effortlessly make any room elegant by placing this machine on a table or countertop, while it produces your favorite coffee concoctions easily and quickly” – Business Executive Manager for Coffee and Creamer Creations Business Unit, Mr Donald Howat.

During the launch at the Edsa Shangri-la Hotel last November 10, 2015, I have witnessed before hosts Daphne Osena-Paez and Nescafe Dolce Gusto, Mr. Jiggy Cruz

Its espresso is thick, with strong aroma and perfect crema.
Indeed, in four easy steps, the Nescafe Dolce Gusto Drop can also be customized to produce hot or cold coffee and it can even makes tea or tea latter – under half a minute!
I was curious when they say we could create a Chai Latte with it so when I was given a chance to do my drink, I requested for Chai Latte.
You would need two capsules for it which you can buy at the Nescafe Dolce Gusto site.
I just popped in the capsule, selected the brewing option, pressed the red button (for hot drinks) and Bam! My milk was ready.. then same process for the tea!
It smelled good and tasted like the real Chai Latte I order from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
I am impressed with how this coffee machine can make things so much easier especially at crafting tea lattes.
