WWF-PH Celebrates Anniversary with #OneWorld2021 Photo Campaign
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines celebrated the WWF network’s anniversary this 2021 by partnering with Project Headshot Clinic for a collaborative photo campaign to remind us of our connection to Earth.
The campaign entitled #OneWorld2021 asked WWF-Philippines’ supporters to submit their photos to Project Headshot Clinic, who digitally merged their profile pictures with nature and wildlife shots, turning them into beautiful works of art. For someone who likes photography and art, I feel this is a really great campaign to raise awareness about WWF Philippines’ conservation efforts.
The campaign highlighted the diversity and interconnectedness of nature while encouraging participants to become advocates of biodiversity through their social media posts and donations. A generous portion of proceeds from the campaign will support WWF- Philippines’ conservation initiatives.
“COVID-19 served as a wake-up call for all of us. With the #OneWorld2021 campaign, we wanted to remind everyone that everything in this planet is linked to one another and humanity is always connected to nature. Every decision we make affects everyone else, so let’s work together as one and bring positive change for the planet,” said WWF-Philippines Executive Director Katherine Custodio.
The need for solutions to environmental degradation is more apparent now more than ever.
WWF-Philippines hopes that #OneWorld2021 will continue to provoke discussions on a
“one world, one health” approach in environmental action – where nature and human health
are linked together in building a sustainable future
