After the successful showcase in Frankfurt (Germany), the BTS x James Jean exhibition is finally in Manila, Philippines.
The [HYBE INSIGHT] BTS X JAMES JEAN: SEVEN PHASES EXHIBITION, which unveiled captivating works alongside the original exhibits of HYBE INSIGHT, the museum of HYBE, has achieved great success in South Korea; and PH Army would get an exclusive view of the stunning work of James Jean, and some BTS memorabilia. BTS’ DNA is in the exhibit!

I flew to Jakarta to see my BTS bias.
James Jean is a Taiwanese-American artist known for his impressive work in various creative fields, including illustration, painting, and graphic design. It was my first time to see his work – from the original sketches to the actual pieces featuring my favorite, OT7.
The first zone of the exhibit showcases the remarkable series of 31 paintings by James Jean, capturing the essence of each BTS member. These exceptional artworks provide a window into the individuality and artistic spirit of each member, offering viewers an aesthetic connection with their favorite artists.
The second zone is a special treat to the ARMYs! I was pleasantly surprised to see ACTUAL clothes worn by BTS during their performances and music videos.
For those who are curious, here are what you can expect:
- Permission to Dance MV outfits
- the iconic DIOR outfits for their MIC DROP concert performance
- Butter MV outfits
- the sparkly concert mic with Swarovski crystals (including their in-ear monitors)
- trophies, Guinness World Records awards, and magazine features
- Butter albums that BTS personally designed! So cute!
The first area of the exhibit implements a “no photo and video policy”. But the second part is the photo zone and message wall where you can write your messages to your bias and OT7. At the end of the exhibit is a merch store.
I had a fun day with the girls.
A visit to the exhibit could be a nice me-time activity, too! Planning to go back!
