First Look: Red Planet Hotel Amorsolo

Traffic can be so bad when accompanied with rain and flood. Have you ever been stranded somewhere? That’s one of my greatest fears living in the crazy place like Metro Manila.

If ever you find yourself stranded in Makati, head on over to Red Planet Amorsolo. The newly opened hotel in the country strengthen its name as the largest international hotel owner/operator in the Philippines. The new hotel is also a perfect place for backpackers and travelers visiting the Philippines. It is easily accessible to different hot spots in Manila.

Red Planet Amorsolo has opened its doors and rooms to guests last week. We got to check out the property and had a quick tour inside the hotel.

Red and white dominates the color scheme of the hotel interior. Everything is simple and straightforward. The main lobby and reception area is at the second floor which also holds the business center where guests can use desktop computers or connect their gadgets in the available outlets.

There’s a board in the lobby where guests can leave messages. I noted Think and Feel.

Sometimes we forget to enjoy the moment presented to us.

On every floor, the Red Planet Amorsolo welcomes the guests from the elevator with random portraits taken in the busy streets of Manila.

We first visited the Room for PWD. The municipality requires hotels to provide rooms for PWD especially that the property is near hospitals. There are two wheelchair-friendly rooms which amenities are the same for Deluxe Rooms.

The Red Planet Deluxe Room has custom-made bed, high powered shower, Free WiFI, Large Flat Screen TV, Air Conditioning Unit, Ceiling Fan, Safety Box, and Hair Dryer.

I really love that each room has safety deposit box. There are no cabinets or dresser though, only a metal bar to hand clothes.

The floor houses connecting rooms which families can rent separately.

The new Red Planet hotel brand was specifically created to redefine the value hotel experience for domestic and international travelers in Asia by providing high quality, comfortable and connected desirable locations at attractive prices.

Another key component of the Red Planet is the highly functional app that is an efficient booking portal and when guests arrive at the hotel, it activates as in-stay mode. The app then feeds relevant information about local events and promos.
