A Taste of Vietnam in Manila: Cafe 8 at Crimson Hotel Buffet (Filinvest Alabang)
One of the Southeast Asian countries that I would love to visit is Vietnam. The Land of the Dragon people is famous not only for its tourist destinations, but also for its healthy cuisine.
One of my favorites is pho. The hearty noodle soup gives a different flavor and experience compared to other noodle soups of Asian countries.
Crimson Hotel Filinvest brings us a taste of Vietnam as three guest chefs take over the show kitchen at Cafe 8 from March 10 to 18, 2017. I got invited to witness and taste a lavish feast of Vietnamese dishes. Truly, Vietnam offers a different and unique gastronomic experience.
A Taste of Vietname
Mr. Ly Quoc Tuan, Vietnam Ambassador to the Philippines joined the event

Guest Chefs Vo Van Chien, Nguyen Thi Khanh Ngan, Tran Kim Hoang Trong
Chef Nguyen Thi Khanh Ngan, Tran Kim Hoang Trong and Vo Van Chien prepared the dishes and took the guests to a healthy and delicious flavors of Vietnamese food such as Fried Tofu, Fresh Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Pho, Crab Noodle Soup and desserts.
I think everyone’s favorite is the pho. Although not a lot of people like the taste of cilantro but I love the taste and contrast it brings to the soup.
I am not surprised that even Vietnamese desserts are made with fresh and healthier ingredients. 😉
To cap off the meal, enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee. I love how it taste like a cafe latte with perfect espresso. It is very decadent and the condensed milk gives a balance flavor and body.
You can enjoy this Vietnamese offering at Cafe 8 in Crismson Hotel Filinvest City for only Php 1,235 ++ (lunch) and Php 1,410 ++ (dinner) as part of the regular buffet offerings.
