A Great Gatsby Party at the Penthouse by the Bay + Staycation in Rizal Park Hotel
When you received an invitation by the Great Gatsby to attend a party at the Penthouse, you pack up your luggage and dress up to join the night of decadence ⭐
It was like stepping into the world of the Roaring Twenties when we arrived at the Penthouse by the Bay located on the rooftop of the Rizal Park Hotel. It is a new events place where you can have good food, fine drinks, and a view of the old great city that is Manila.
From the rooftop, you can see the Rizal Monument, Luneta Park, and the busy seaport of Manila.
Penthouse By The Bay is a destination events place that can cater up to a maximum of 500pax (standing) or 270pax seated. Unfortunately, I didn’t meet the Great Gatsby.

We had over-flowing drinks of fine wine, cocktails, and champagne accompanied by really good food. I love everything that they served us but I guiltlessly indulged in Quattro Formaggi Php 670.00 and the SPAM dish. ✌️
What makes Penthouse by the Bay special? They carry fine wines and spirits from the same official wine suppliers to the entire royal family. Berry Bros & Rudd bottle carries the emblem of the Queen and Prince of Wales.
I got to taste this fine whisky and it felt like sharing the bottle with the royals. I am not a whiskey drinker but I would describe it as smooth and fine.
Here are some of the items you must order:
Chicken Florentine Php 550.00
Meat Lovers Pizza Cone Php 670.00
Spicy Mussels Php 290.00
Crab Cake Php 580.00
Asian Nachos Php 410.00
When we felt like the dining hall appeared a little too intimate for th party, we transferred outside where we all danced our hearts out! It was one of the best nights with blogger friends who we rarely get to see. 🥂🥂🥂
The stars at night watched us as we got crazier. There was no sign of the Great Gatsby (or maybe, he was there partying with us) 🎇
Rizal Park Hotel Staycation
I love that we were conveniently checked in at the Rizal Park Hotel that night and I didn’t need to worry about going home.
The hotel has such a nice interior and architecture.
Rizal Park Hotel used to be a Navy Army Club Manila which was first built in 1911. According to historian Manolo Quezon, the building was the “center of the American military’s social life” in the Philippines from the time it was built until the outbreak of World War II in the Pacific in 1941
Our room has a colonial-style design, which reminds me of the hotels we stayed in Greece.
I really love the chandelier, floor tiles, and quilted headboard.
Rizal Park Hotel offers the usual amenities for a comfortable stay such as a TV, mini-bar, safety box, bottled water, coffee and tea, and toiletries.
Last weekend’s schedule was a bit crazy yet I am glad that I got to spend the night with friends.

I cannot wait to go back to Penthouse by the Bay, and by then, hopefully, I would meet the Great Gatsby.
