Philippine Fashion Week 2014: SM Woman Launched

June 3, 2014

After two years, I was back at the red carpet of SMX Convention Center for the Philippine Fashion Week. Last Thursday, I got to see the collections from the new fashion label by SM Store which carries stylish women pieces. Say hello to, SM Woman.

SM Woman is a new name that we will call the SM Ladies Fashion. The collection is all about trendy pieces yet classic and wearable in any occasion. We missed the VIP Preview, and some good seats at the VIP area, but that was okay since we got to see collection displayed in the venue hall.

When the music started playing, we knew we were on for a good treat! We (including my mom who is a dressmaker) are impressed with the cuts, styles and prints of the collections. The pieces are comparable to the international retail brands’. The good news is, most of the SM Woman’s pieces are priced below Php1,000!

Forgive the angle and the blurred pictures. Here’s a video of Danica Magpantay doing the catwalk..

Here’s the SM WOMAN Collection:

Neoprene: Luxe, lightweight and clean minimalist.

New Age Digital: Geometric shapes with spliced patterns
Windowpane Checks: Black and white classic prints

Artistic Florals: It didn’t occur to me that florals can this be classy and sexy!

Industrial Graphics: Marble, granite and grayscale graphics

Resort: Watercolor prints in light cloth and sexy robe cuts!

I love everything in the collection! I used to see SM Ladies Fashion as something for boring ladies who want to play it safe in the fashion field (which explains why I mostly frequent the SM Teen’s Wear!). SM Woman’s collection is perfect for corporate junkies, party girls (or a bloggers) who can shift the look from night to day with a perfect accessory and make-up.

SM Woman hold a private sale after the show. If not for the early flight the following morning, I would have tried some clothes and shopped! I already have favorites!

Glad that I survived the Philippine Fashion Week! 😉
and here’s an OOTD post for you all.
Wore a Little Black Dress! Too little because it is from SM Teen’s Wear 🙂
