Baskin-Robbins Now in Philippines

July 2, 2014

Yesterday was all about blue and pink as Baskin-Robbins finally opens in the Philippines! I headed over to Bonifacio Global City (after a really filling food-tasting at Vikings – will share about the new offerings soon!) for the Grand Launch and Opening of the World’s Favorite Ice Cream chain – Baskin- Robbins! We remember the store back in the 90s, but afters everal years, Baskin-Robbins needed to shut down the operation. Now that more and more international franchises and brands are opening in Manila, a steady state of economoy is a go-signal for Baskin-Robbins to come back in the Philippines.

We were in dessert euphoria as guests were treated to free scoops of ice cream (of any flavor that we want)! We are talking about 31 ice cream flavors here. Guests, even celebrities patiently lined up to get their sinful tub of creamy ice cream goodness only from Baskin-Robbins.

What to order from Baskin Robbins?

The new Baskin-Robbins in BGC serves the brand’s extensive selection of classic ice cream flavors like Pralines n Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip and Very Berry Strawberry. Included are regional favorites like Jamoca Almond Fudge and Chocolate Mouse Royale.

If you are not an ice cream person, you can order ice cream cakes, frozen treats, beverages and ice cream sundaes.

1 scoop of ice cream is at Php139, 2 scoops at Php209, and 3 scoops at Php279.

How to make your own Baskin-Robbins ice cream goodness?

1. Choose 3 flavors of ice cream.

2. Choose your toppings:

Hot Fudge, Marshmallows, Caramel Pralines, Reese’s Peanut Butter, Butterscotch, Pineapple, Chocolate Syrup, Maple Syrup, Strawberry

Tip: If your ice cream flavors are on a sweet side, go for the lighter topping. Marshmallows is always safe 🙂

3.  Finish your creation with chopped walnuts, whipped cream and cherry!

Look who was enjoying their Baskin-Robbins ice cream during the launch!
You know this guy!

Baskin Robbins executives

Baskin-Robbins seems like they know how to make a grand launch, these dancers stopped (or should I say, started) the show..

The crew danced to the beat of “What’s Your Flavor?”
very fit to the 31 awesome flavors of Baskin-Robbins!

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony (and cake-slicing too!) followed..
.. and the Baskin Robbins Philippines was officially opened!

It was fun that we got to taste and enjoy our ice cream even before the official ribbon-cutting ceremony! That’s how Baskin-Robbins share the good ice cream and fun with guests.

Aside from over-flowing ice cream and milkshakes, Baskin-Robbins also gave away more surprises and scoops by holding fun games during the event. I heard that their staff can scoop ice cream and hold them up to 6 layers in a cone.. They challenged media friends and John (Kumagcow) was chosen to participate.

It was not as easy as we thought it was.. Unfortunately, our friend didn’t win
but, he got to eat the scoops that he got. Fruit  Ice Cream of hardwork!

Baskin-Robbins also gave away more gift certificates through the short Q&A with guests. They also awarded an awesome, awesome ice cream passport to the admin who created the Baskin-Robbins Philippines Fanpage! It means she get to have free ice cream from Baskin-Robbins for the whole year!

Congratulations and thank you to Baskin-Robbins and IceDream Inc for bringing this brand to the Philippines!
But hey, in celebration of the grand launch and to highlight the heritage of 31 flavors – one for every day of the month – Baskin-Robbins will offer a very generous Grand Opening promotion.
