There are hundreds of new restaurants in the Metro that offer the best dishes, romantic ambiance and breathtaking views that would perfectly fit the “best date ever” description. But when we want to be ourselves, and enjoy comforting food, the best date ever can also take place in the familiar place we know as Jollibee.
And who do we bring in this familiar place to enjoy the best date ever? The first man in our lives – father, dad, pop, or tatay. Jollibee invited me and my dad to have the best date ever in Jollibee Pioneer last week. The invite said that we would be joined by Nadine Lustre and her “best date (ever)!”.

Nadine is such a sweet, fun girl. She reminds me of Kathryn and Sheena Halili.
Nadine is the new endorser of Jollibee and if you have seen the new commercial you can see the strict, young guy who was with her and took her to Jollibee… where she was stood up! Of course, dad was there to save the day complete with the tray of Jollibee goodies! There is nothing like eating French fries and burger on a gloomy day. The guy who was with her in the commercial is her real dad – Daddy Ulysses!
So Nadine and Daddy Ulysses joined us that evening. Jollibee prepared everything for the best date ever, but unfortunately, my father being the antisocial that he is, decided to send my mom with me to the best date ever.
Jollibee prepared the best meal for the daughter and father date. This is how Jollibee does it when it goes gourmet! The Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Yum is just so yummy! It has everything that I want – 100% pure beef patty, topped with bacon, mushrooms, cheese sauce and sandwiched between a soft, sesame seed bun. It would be available for only Php 72. But that night, we were served with extra special spread..
It was a fun event not just for dads and daughters but for moms and kids too. Couples, kids, dads and even mom enjoyed the event. Jollibee does know how to throw parties!

What is a party without a game? I wanted to join, and I am positive we would have won the Pictionary! I wanted to steal the chance when I read “I am Sam” and “Father of the Bride” from the drawings!
Then it was time for the daughters to compete with dads in the Name that Tune!
Daughters were also given the chance to relay their messages to their dads, and it was nice to hear the stories and struggles of every family, but still keeping the love and high-spirit!
I would not leave my dad behind, so I took my burger with me at home to share with him. I am not closest to dad, but we also have our moments. He was happy to see the loot! Thank you Jollibee for the #BestDateEver!
