Holiday Gift Suggestion: Personalized Cheesecake from Uncle Tetsu

December 21, 2014

Give me a delicious cheesecake with my name on it, and my heart would melt – instantly! That’s how I felt when this light and golden, personalized cheesecake from Uncle Tetsu was presented to me.

True to the feelings that this cheesecake has brought me, Uncle Tetsu‘s Japanese cheesecake gives a melt-in-your-mouth experience. Unlike the usual New York Cheesecake that we all know (thick and heavy-bodied), Uncle Tetsu‘s cheesecake is light, fluffy and smooth. It reminds me of our local “mamon” but with a different inviting aroma and (don’t forget) the signature Uncle Tetsu stamp! The cheesecakes are baked daily (and best enjoyed within 3 days from purchase).
Uncle Tetsu recently opened a store in SM Mall of Asia (South Wing) and offers a delightful way to enjoy Asia’s favorite cheesecake.

Who wants a taste of Blueberry or Strawberry, or a sprinkle of colored marshmallows on Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake?
Well, we have endless ways to design and personalize Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecake. For additional Php 60, all you have to do is to choose 1 spread + 2 toppings. The resident Pastry Chef would take care of the design for you. Oh, and he has such good handwriting and calligraphy skills too!
Spreads: Blueberry, Strawberry, Mango or Dulce de Leche
Toppings: Dried Mango, Marshmallow, M&M’s, Almond Flakes, Chocolate Balls, Chocolate Coins, Marble Eggs, Gummy Candy, Pretzels and Colored Sprinkles.
Here are some inspirations from your favorite food bloggers 🙂

I can see this served in a dinner date! 🙂
Food Scout’s work reflects her fun personality! Too cute!
This would be lovely to giveaway to kids!

Here’s mine! I didn’t want the toppings to overpower the real flavor of the cheesecake
I chose Dulce de Leche spread and almond toppings. The chocolates could be eaten individually or bitten with every slice 🙂
It was my first time to try Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake and I instantly fell in love with it! My mom too! She almost finished 1 whole cake in 1 sitting! She loves that it is not too sweet! I love that its size is just perfect for individual gifting (who can seriously finish a whole cheesecake expensively priced at above Php 1,000?). Most often, they end up eating the space in the fridge for us to dispose after a week. Such a waste. Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecake is reasonably priced at Php 299.

Uncle Tetsu is originally from Japan and people from Taiwan, Singapore and China fall in line to bring home this delicious, golden cheesecake!
The good thing is, we can enjoy Uncle Tetsu’s Cheesecake wherever we are in Manila. We can have it in plain traditional flavor or with fun toppings. Watch out because Uncle Tetsu is also brewing good coffee to go with our favorite Japanese cheesecake.
Congratulations Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake SM Mall of Asia!
