Snaps Bar: 24/7 Sports Bar in Manila

January 18, 2015
Sometimes it happens. You came from a gig, party or movie date, and you just don’t feel like going home yet. You need a place to relax and you immediately check Google for a 24/7 bar in Manila.

I have found the perfect place for you.

Welcome to Snaps Bar! The 24-hour bar located at the lobby of Sofitel Hotel Manila.

Indeed, there is more to Sofitel Hotel than the famous Spiral Buffet. Beside the Hotel Gift Shoppe and Vietura Holistic Clinic is Snaps Bar which is a 24-hour casual dining restaurant in Manila that caters to sports enthusiasts (or not) and offers a great selection of comfort food.

Snaps Bar welcomed me to a spacious dining area with sports displays. One cannot miss the pictures and memorabilia of Filipino pride Manny Pacquiao, Paeng Nepumuceno, the Azkals and international sports stars like Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods and Mike Tyson, among others.
There are sports and gaming facilities like billiards table, foosball table and TV screens where live sporting events are shown just like the recently concluded FIFA in Brazil. Comfortable couches, booths and bar-chairs are available for different type of guests. Families, couples and friends would have their privacy. Interestingly, we visited at lunch time and we enjoyed how it appeals more like a casual dining place. I could imagine how Snaps Bar gets loud and energetic at night especially when there are private parties.

The food at Snaps Bar are equally good! Something to munch when you are enjoying a great sports show – I recommend:

Calamares Fritos Php 420

Snaps Pizza Php 600
That’s wood fire pizza with pepperoni, burger bits, ham, onions and barbeque sauce!

Beef Salpicao Php 430
I was seriously craving for rice when I tasted it!

Brawler Burger Php 600
100% US Beef with red bell pepper, green relish and sliced tomatoes. It was, however, a bit dry when we finally tried it (probably because it was sitting for too long in the table – our fault!). We are guessing it would have tasted better when we immediately dived on it. I might order this again next time.

Fish and Chips Php 550
One of the best Fish and Chips I have tried! Fish is fresh and perfectly flaky with the good coating crunch!

For drinks, we tried the Lemonade and the famous Chocolate Shake.

There is a great selection of drinks from coffee, shakes, cocktails to international and local beers and spirits.

For dessert, my gracious hosts ordered something from Spiral 🙂
Snaps Bar take personalized service seriously by providing and serving food to the guests ordered from other outlet stores like Spiral or in-house room service, and they would serve it in Snaps Bar 🙂

I had Vanilla & Chocolate 🙂

Ube x Ube and Vanilla x Strawberry!
Now, what Ruth has to say:
Service: The staff is very attentive and nice – they even gamely posed with me for a photo opp! Their uniform is inspired by FIFA.
Total Damage: Well, my visit is sponsored by a friend who works in Sofitel. But Snaps Bar price is a little expensive for your usual bar. I would say Php 1,000 is a safe budget for 1 pax to enjoy good food and few bottles of drinks.
Plastic Money: Visa and Mastercard accepted.
Washroom: Use common hotel washroom.
Dress Code: Wear something decent because it is a bar and although they are not strict with dress code, guests might be a little too “confident” when they had alcohol 🙂
Crowd: Families, friends, expats.
Verdict: I love my discovery of the 24/7 bar in Manila! A safe place to stay in and spend the night when you don’t feel like going home yet!
Thank you Dave, Ramon and Ms Ingrid for the fun lunch!

‘Til our next food trip!
