I was out on a nostalgic and gastronomic journey last week, and I found myself indulging in the romantic Nostalgia Dining Lounge in Oakwood Premiere.
It was my first time in Oakwood Premiere (the old Oakwood I know was the one in Makati). Walking in the hallways on the way to Nostalgia Dining Lounge was like being treated to a surprised dinner date – when there’s no one to plan surprises for you, you can try exploring new places and surprise yourself 😉
I heard that the Nostalgia Dining Lounge is newly renovated – it has a feel of old romanticized era with very subtle modern design. It is like visiting your great grand mother’s grand house with interesting displays of frames and photographs.

Our lovely host and Oakwood Premiere’s team welcomed me and ushered me to my seat. I love  their warm welcome when I told them it was my first time 🙂Â
The Nostalgia Dining Lounge offers a good ambiance of contemporary classic elegance with array of cross-continental classic cuisine and touch of Asian.Â
The set is especially created by resident French executive chef, Jerome Cartailler. We got to try samples of dishes in Nostalgia Lounge which each tells a nostalgic story.Â

Chef’s Terrine Php 425
Pork and veil terrine flavoured with cognac, an original recipe created by Chef Jerome’s grandmother. I love restaurants that offer family member’s recipes 🙂Â
Berkshire Pork MilaneseÂ
It uses best quality pork cuts in the world, the Berkshire Pork which is made even more flavorful with white wine, orange and saffron, and tomato.Â
For main course, we had  Pan Seared Macadamia Cruster Salmon Php 895
It is Norwegian salmon with rich buttery flavor of macadamia nut  and Chardonnay sauce. I don’t usualy eat salmon but for healthier choice, one must try this dish.Â
We capped off the meal with this rich Tartufo Php 325
This is so good! Nespresso coffee infused mousse. Dipped it with dark ganache and berry coulis for contrast of flavor and texture!
Best enjoyed with fresh brew 🙂Â
These are just samples of the delectable food that you can have at Nostalgia Lounge. Some of the more popular dishes you can try (and highly recommended) are:Â
Appetizers: Chef’s Terrine, Red Onion and Mango Chutney with Freshly Baked Bread, Classic Caesar Salad or Homemade Potato Gnoicchi with Parma Ham.Â
Entree: Char Grilled US Beef Tenderloin with Alfalfa, Gratin Potato and Roast Shallot Sauce, Chicken Supreme Filled with Mushroom Mousse and light Gorgonzola Sauce.Â
For only Php 1,500 net per person, you can enjoy a romantic date at Nostalgia.Â
The place is also perfect for group events. Check out the Old Manila Room which can accommodate 14 guests in traditional local set-up.Â
There is also Bohemian Paris which can accommodate up to 6 people!
Super cute with youthful palette that is so French and dainty!

And Cosmopolitan Shanghai which is good mix of old renaissance and new vibrant fabric and details.

Just on my first visit, Nostalgia Dining Lounge already gave me an experience I would treasure and remember. I cannot wait to go back with friends and family – and create more memories 🙂Â
