WIWTD: When I Climbed the Great Wall of China

July 25, 2015

It was my second time in Beijing – and when you are in Beijing, you have to visit the Great Wall of China. This time around, we visited a different spot – and it felt like a new Great Wall experience for me.

I am guessing, I am the least sporty from the group. But everyone seemed so excited to be in the Great Wall (especially they all came from the other side of the wall – from US, to Brazil and Mexico). I joined in the fun of climbing the Great Wall – and thankfully, I am wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.

I always go for comfort whenever I travel and if there is a kind of fashion style that one should wear while exploring – the most perfect is the sporty chic.
And ladies and gentlemen, this is the most sporty chic look I could come up from the clothes that I had brought for that 5-day trip:

Traveling should be fun and light. I don’t know how girls who roam around  the city (and go up the Great Wall) in heels do it (yes I saw some wearing heels!). They have probably mastered the art of walking in heels.

I have decided to wear (again), the same old clothes mixed together to create a new look.

Denim Shorts
Tube Dress (worn as top)
Comfy walking shoes
Camo Jacket

I prefer the tube top to eliminate unholy tan lines. I could easily take out the jacket when it was humid and I could wear it inside the bus en route to another destination. Wearing shorts is always a good idea because I find it easy to move around. Always, always wear comfortable shoes when you travel.

I did not bring any sneakers during the trip and I only got 3 pairs that I was able to pair with my other clothes. Channel the sporty-chic look with these cool sneakers from ZALORA. You can also check out these looks for inspiration.
