Lamudi Philippines introduced their brand and services via Media Night and Transporter movie.
Transporter is something that I encounter almost everyday. People who transport goods from one place to another. In my world, they are the bloggermails that brands send in my doorstep.Â
I go the chance to see the Transporter Refueled movie last week as a treat from Lamudi Philippines. It is fast, furious and sexy.Â
Transporter has rules that he follows and he probably missed the last rule – he cannot transport land properties. In that sense, that’s when Lamudi comes in.Â
Jacqueline van den Ende, Founder and Managing Director,
Lamudi Philippines and Henry Winter, General Manager of MyProperty.ph welcomed us to the event. They first shared with us the story on how they found themselves building the business in the Philippines. Coming from places where beer is good and smoking marijuana is legal, they found accepted the challenge to open the business here to provide safe property search experience for Filipinos.Â
Lamudi started in 2013, as part of the Rocket Internet venture, the online global venture that gave us other big names in online platform such as Lazada, Zalora, Foodpanda and Pricepanda among others. Lamudi is not only available here in the Philippines but in lots of countries worldwide including Middle East, Africa and Latin America, giving us 900,000+ real estate listings around the world.
From a 2-man business, Lamudi grows to 80 employees and this year, it joined forces with MyProperty.ph (its biggest competitor) to provide the best experience and expertise when in comes to real-estate.Â
The Lamudi site offers not just properties for sale and for rent, but also news and stories. Lamudi also partnered with Metrobank to come up with loan calculator. A beneficial feature for Metrobank clients to help them assist with planning their budget before buying properties.Â
I hope in the future I can use Lamudi’s services. I am an impulse-buyer and I don’t want to do a little window shopping on land and properties now. Let me just enjoy my popcorn and movies.Â
Thank you Lamudi, Myproperty.ph and Pia for the invite!
