Planning for a Harry Potter Birthday Theme Party + Hogwarts Acceptance Letter Invitation, Wax Seal and the Great Hall Venue!
Here’s the thing guys, I don’t really celebrate my birthday.
Every year my mom would ask me what I want to eat or do on my birthday, I would tell her, I just want to enjoy wasting my time. I “celebrated” my birthday in different ways. Actually, I stopped celebrating my birthday after I turned 18. I no longer want to age and be an adult. Ironic, when I was younger, I want to drag the time and welcome adulthood (so I can start doing the things I love). When I turned 18, I started dreading birthdays. I felt that I got stuck at 25.
The truth is, I celebrate life everyday. I do things that I want. I eat what I want at the moment. I choose to be happy everyday. I don’t need to wait for my birthday to give me license to feel “happy”.
So anyway, when one of your favorite brands decided to host a birthday party for you – you just simply jump and say yes! What is more exciting, they said okay to the theme.
TENEN!
Harry Potter!!!
I have so much fascination about the story. Probably because I received the book set as a gift from my sister.. It arrived on my birthday (some years ago!).
We made the preparations last month and I am lucky to have supportive friends and partners who helped me with all the planning. I wanted to make the event fun for all the guests (seriously, I should not bother and tire myself with the little details) but it gives me a nice feeling.
We found the perfect venue that we cannot wait to transform into the Great Hall! I cannot disclose the venue yet, sorry. 🙂
I searched for designs online and sourced suppliers for items like candies and wax seal set.
My friend who has a design business offered to sponsor the invitations (I was so delighted!). I want to make it as a souvenir for my friends. She is so talented! I just provided her with the details I wanted to see in the invitation and VOILA!
She also made these wands! Magical!
My friend who is starting a food business offered to bring food for the potluck party. It was her dream to put up a food business and I am so happy to be able to share this with her.
Anyway, to make it more fun, Clara Ole extended the invitation to my birthday so Clara Ole fans, or Harry Potter fanatics can get a chance to join us for my birthday celebration.
Just simply upload a picture of a dish that you created using Clara Ole and use hashtag #claraolewizardry. Winners will win Clara Ole gift packs + event invitation to join us. Winners can bring a plus one!
Good news, Clara Olé fans! We are extending our Wizarding Delights contest until February 3, 2016! Be sure to send us…Posted by ClaraOle on Monday, February 1, 2016
Okay guys, no insightful content today about birthdays, learnings and adulthood.
So many exciting things ahead!
Thank you for joining me in my adventures.
Now this lady needs some sleep. Oh, and today is February 3. It is officially my birthday.
