The blog title basically sums up my story at the opening of the newest Una Rosa store at SM Megamall last November 25, 2016.
But you know me, I can’t just stop blabbing and blogging… So here it goes.
First off, a little introduction about the brand. Una Rosa is a home-grown fashion brand for women. Una meaning “the one” or “first” while Rosa means “feminity”. It reflects the brand’s vision to dress every Filipina in the most exclusive pieces and most up-to-date designs in women’s fashion.
The brand first opened its store in Shangri-la Plaza in April 2008 and continuously grows as it opens its 10th branch at the 2nd level of SM Megamall.
I have previously seen Una Rosa stores but it was my first time to actually shop and try on the clothes. I always thought that their pieces are too “young” for me, but not until I checked the racks – including the Una Rosa Holiday Collection 2016.
There is something for every woman of different style and lifestyles. I spotted Sukajan Jackets, denim essentials, chic office pieces, party clothes and even Sunday’s Best dresses. There are also super cute jumpsuits and rompers.
Una Rosa’s clothes are seductive, playful and chic.
I really love how their pieces are perfect fit for my built (tall-petite). I know a couple of local brands which sizing are too small for my figure (like having too short torso/body figure – that dresses appear like a top on me 😀).
I got used to hearing people say that everything looks good on me but when it comes to dressing up – I want to stick with pieces that I can use and wear again and again. The goal now is to #buylesswearmore 😀
An hour and a half in the Una Rosa store, I was still torn which pieces to get. So I asked the Aisa Ipac :
“if you would buy clothes for me, what would you get?”.
She asked me what I need (I wanted to tell her. I wanted to escape and think about life. LOL).
She told me maybe I could get essential pieces. I actually told her I am all for denims and blacks 🙂 We were supposed to get the same denim jacket but it was too short for me as a dress. 😀
In between talks about her recent Taipei travel (and my Siem Reap trip), we picked different pieces from the Una Rosa collection.
Za asked me, “how would you wear it?”
Me: “with a bandeau” :p (too much skin?!)
Pax: “you have to get it”
Me: “okay”
I have so much trust on her that her quick suggestions about clothes made me get them. Haha. Seriously, I love reading @paxiness’ blogs about her travels, ukay ukay hauls and styling gigs. Visit her at www.aissaipac.com. Hire her or work with her 🙂
Now I am letting you inside the dressing room and showing you our picks 🙂
Feeling a legit Una Rosa woman?
You cannot separate me from blacks and grays and plains 😀
Sunday’s Best 😀
I have a different set of clothes I only use to go to church. This one goes to that set 😀
An Una Rosa Woman knows what she’s doing and where she’s going. She is substantial and stylish. She is confident, bold and sensible. An UnaRosa woman doesn’t abide by what is safe, she bends the rules and makes them her own.
Typing the text above reminds me how I broke the rules and left corporate to do something fun. That was exactly 3 years ago.
We went over the budget for the pieces, but who cares? I was feeling a bit confused/depressed yesterday and I got my much-needed shopping therapy.
It felt like Thursday and/or Sunday!
Follow me @ruthilicious to see how I would wear the other pieces I bought!
My mom (who used to sew and make my dresses) approves the pieces that I got. Una Rosa pieces are made of good cloth and are well-made.
I don’t feel the need to buy the modern majestic pieces of Una Rosa, but it is good to know there is a store I can go to when I need a dress for red carpet events :p
Thank you Una Rosa, Benj and Aisa!
Congratulations on the new store!
