I Was Kidnapped by a Friend and We Had Kalye BBQ in Antipolo.
Before you even call the police, I want to tell you that I am home safe and currently blogging in my room 🙂 It is 2:30 in the morning.
I was a willing victim when @rodelflordeliz asked me if I want to go and do a little fun “mountaineering” (meaning, go to Antipolo). There is a newly opened restaurant in Hollywood Terrace, Antipolo called Kalye BBQ and he was invited to check it out. I said yes when I saw that the Uber fee from Quezon City to Antipolo only costed Php 284. Waze reported that travel time was less than an hour and traffic was moving. It was a smooth ride. I don’t normally do things like this – especially when I just had a facial treatment. :p
It seems that Kalye BBQ got a perfect spot at Hollywood Terrace, right beside a school. I later found out that the business started as a small kiosk located at the ground floor of the building. Now, Kalye BBQ has a spacious dining area (with comfortable couches) to accommodate its customers. I love the “Hugot” signages around the store. There are two TV sets in the store that show Hollywood movie and music videos. Choose your entertainment!
What we had:
BBQ Plate, Adobo Flakes Rice Bowl, Pancit, Pares, Budbud and some colorful drinks.

Kalye BBQ even made the dishes names more catchy. There’s Bonggang Binagoongan, Astig Sisig, Walang Kapares, Porkchop Bondat, Sus Dagupan Bangus and Kulet Bagnet! Meals are very reasonable starting at Php 59 (nothing above Php 130!)

The best part? The Kalye BBQ staff calls their customers “bes” (like, best friend) which makes guests feel more welcome and relaxed.
