Less than an hour drive from Manila (from Cubao and Ortigas) is the Eugenio Lopez Center – a budding new destination for weddings, team buildings and staycations.
We got to visit the property which was originally built as a 3-bedroom retirement home of the Lopez clan. The property has hosted different private celebrations – from parties, gatherings and weddings. Today, it is opening its doors to the public as a venue for functions like weddings, birthdays, meetings and team buildings.
We got to tour the 5,250 square meters atop a 10-hectare property and I fell in love with the 180 degree scenic view of Makati, Ortigas and Quezon City including Pampanga and Batangas.
Eugenio Lopez Center offers 38 rooms for guests who would want to stay overnight. They offer Premiere Suite Room at Php 8,500 (with a connecting room to a Deluxe Room) good for 5 pax with the usual amenities.
The Executive Room (Php 5,500) is good for 3 pax. I love that each bathroom (although doesn’t come with a bidet) has a tabo!
The Deluxe Room is a decent accommodation for Php 4,400. Some rooms come with access to Veranda and a view of the pool. I heard families stay for nights and go around the city – why not, the property is very near interesting places in Antipolo like Cloud 9 (watch our Cloud 9 adventure here). The Eugenio Lopez Center can also accommodate corporate events and meetings. There are 3 meeting rooms that can accommodate 10-20 pax. The best part is the scenic view that you can enjoy during meeting breaks.
For conferences and bigger functions, there are 3 lecture rooms that can fit 50 pax – or 150 pax if these 3 rooms are combined.
There is also a mini theater for video or movie presentations.
They also offers team building facilities including bike and hiking trail. We chanced upon a group of individuals on a team building session during our quick tour.
If there is any occasion that I would want to be held in this nice property is a wedding or birthday. Dining inside the hall gives you a view of the city. At night, guests can party outside under the moonlight.
There is also a chapel inside the property perfect for Catholic weddings. Those who wish to book the property for weddings and events may coordinate with independent buffet services/businesses.
My favorite part of the Eugenio Lopez Center in Antipolo is the Gym and Gaming Room. I would feel motivated to hit my fitness target with such a great view.
The pool, by the way, is free for use by staying guests. It is always nice to take a dip in this hot weather.
This property is like an escape from the city that promises more than sweet wedding vows. It offers recreational facilities for intimate events and corporate functions.
