I grew up very sheltered and I haven’t really experienced playing outside with other kids. We spent most of our time at home playing Family Computer, killing mother ships and saving Mario’s princess. 

Somehow, I thank my parents for that – I don’t have ugly scars and I stayed naturally curious. I am always game to try new stuff – no matter how dangerous they seem – because I don’t have trauma or bad experiences from childhood. I think the only downside now is not having enough time to play and learn new tricks. 

Last July 15th, we visited the Dew Nation HQ Adrenaline Park which gave us access to play VR games and arcade, try BMX and skateboard or ride 4×4 ATV.  The Mountain Dew Crew members Joyce Pring, Sam YG, Jugs Jugueta and Ramon Bautista joined in the fun and accepted the challenges.

I enjoyed playing the VR games and being competitive. I would have wanted to ride the ATV but it was muddy and we had a long day then. I enjoyed watching professional bikers and skateboarders who did sick and wild moves. 

I love Mountain Dew’s mantra Do It, Feel It  which promotes the idea that people should always achieve to strive for more, not for an audience or to impress spectators, but just because they’re passionate about it and want to get better at what they do. I love the vibe of the event and how everyone seems so encouraging. 

I would have wanted to stay and maybe try something that is outside of my comfort zone, but this crew has to go and take on a different adventure.
