Inside the Airplane Restaurant: Air Summit Gourmet
The first and only airplane restaurant in the country is located in Tayabas, Quezon. Inside the Kamayan sa Palaisdaan, Air Summit Gourmet is an actual Boeing 737 turned into a fun, themed restaurant.
We were staying in the area and had a quick lunch at Air Summit Gourmet. The airplane restaurant is also open to walk in guests for lunch and dinner (or maybe, dessert and coffee).
Before you can get inside the Air Summit Gourmet, you must go through the lounge area where you need to get your boarding pass and place your order. It is very much like going through Check in and Immigration.
Air Summit offers set meals (priced at Php 750 for a complete meal with soup, main dish, dessert), and ala carte meals (with main dishes priced at Php 350 and premium steaks at Php 750).Â
Inside the Air Summit is a working restaurant, with seats converted into dining spaces complete with 4-seater tables and chandeliers as accents. Â
We were lucky to that there were only a few guests during our visit. I can’t imagine it to be fully booked like a loaded airplane.Â
It is a nice place to visit for a different dining experience. The place can get really busy, and there are times that they cannot accommodate guests. I would suggest you call for a reservation. I am not sure if they offer seat sale though.Â

How to Go to Air Summit Gourmet via Commute?Â
From Buendia or Cubao, take bus going to SM Lucena.Â
You can take JAC Liner (fare is Php 248 from Taft Buendia).Â
Ask the driver to drop you at the Jeepney Terminal heading to Kamayan Sa Palaisdaan (or get off the Lucena Grand Terminal).Â
The Jeepney Terminal is located right next to a Jolibee Store.Â
Take the Jeepney going to Lucban. Tell the driver to drop you off Kamayan sa Palaisdaan. (fare is Php 20 for a 15-minute jeepney ride).Â
You wouldn’t miss the destination, because you would see the Airplane – Air Summit Gourmet.Â
