realme C12 Coral Red: Review

Three things that I always look for in a smart phone are – good camera, long lasting battery and good performance. For the price of Php 5,990, the new Realme C12 has all these amazing features that would allow you to stream movies, take up online class or play your favorite mobile games.

The new Realme C12 was recently launched through a Live Stream and Music Fan Fest last August 28, 2020, and we have all the reasons to celebrate and dance. 

 

Unboxing the Realme C12, the signature yellow box comes with the Realme C12 unit, USB cable, charger and manual.

 

 

 

The Realme C12, although an entry-level smartphone, looks durable and fine in a red, matte casing in Geometric Gradient Design. It doesn’t try hard to look luxe, but it is sure made of durable material. The back cover is  made of fire-proof back cover with temperature monitoring to prevent machine over-heating.The display is 6.5-inch screen giving users a wider and bigger screen to enjoy different online activities, as powered with Android 10.

 

The volume and power button are on the right side, while at the back is a fingerprint sensor (which I personally love for unlocking my phone).  While, the squad-camera layout brings out a new look for the ever-reliable realme smartphones

 

 

 

One of the things I love about the realme is that, its camera produces photos that show the subject’s real color and tones. It is not too saturated, or highlighted. It is just the real state, the real me. 

 

The Realme C12 has 13MP Camera that captures precise and clear photos. Its f/2.2 large aperture enables the camera to take in more light, which is conducive for low-lit subjects. While the front-view camera is 5MP giving you a clear, decent selfie shots.

 

 

 

For its price, it is impressive to have camera features such as  Macro Lens with 4CM super-close focus distance that gives the device the capability to shoot small subjects and capture more details. It even has B&W and Retro Lens that provides two more special artistic effect for portrait shots.  RealMe is giving everyone a chance to stay artsy and creative with their shots and photos. Like what we always say, it is not about the camera, but the eye of the photographer.

I personally use and overuse my smartphone/s for activities like streaming, watching Youtube videos, and even talking to friends via Telegram or WhatsApp. It is important to me to have a long – battery life for smartphones, especially in that the -Ber months are here and we want to feel more connected with our family and friends.

 What is more interesting, is that it has an OTG reverse charging so we can also charge our other devices, if needed.

Even at 5% Battery (a pretty scary situation), you can still extend the battery life of your Realme C12 with its Power Saving Mode that would give you 2.45 hours of call time, or 1.73 hours of Youtube video, or 2.9 days on stand-by mode. 

 

 

There is always something nice and good about big screens. It is the immersive experience it gives that  make the digital activities like watching movies or playing games a lot more enjoyable.  realme C12 ‘s  ultra-high screen-to-body ratio of 88.7% is made possible by the classic mini-drop design. The display also gives a nice quality and feel.

 

You simply pinch and zoom the screen to change its size and occupy the whole screen for a more immersive viewing experience. It even has an Eye Protection that helps reduce eye strain
(I loooove!).

For an affordable price of Php 5,990, the Realme C12 is packed with powerful features and impressive camera that can help us enjoy different digital activities, while allowing us to be creative with our photos.

 

The Realme C12 Coral Red is a real conversation-starter. I love that it is not a finger print magnet (thanks to the Gradient Design), taking in consideration safety with the temperature monitoring feature and fire-proof material cover.

 I would recommend this smartphone to students or those who are in a budget, who need a smartphone for online class, gaming or just about a second smartphone for other extra digital activities.
