I am always for living the best day and enjoying every moment. Staying home for two years because of the pandemic made me enjoy my favorite things or fun moments with family. While everyone is drawn to beautiful aesthetics and backgrounds in the outside world, I live for documenting life through photos or short videos.
Lately, as I started going out again and traveling, I realized that life happens so quickly, and shooting with my favorite camera may no longer be ideal (especially during travels). I love beautiful photos and capturing moments through camera lens. I considered upgrading my smartphone with camera that can capture the best memories (in real colors).
Vivo Y73 just launched today, and I got the awesome opportunity to test its features and document my life with it. It is my first time to own and use a Vivo smartphone and I am excited about how it can help me enjoy life and create the best stories. Vivo Y73 is an upper entry-level smartphone with stylish design, impressive rear cameras, Anti-Fingerprint only/AG glass, and great flash charge capabilities.
Unboxing Vivo Y73
The Vivo Y73 comes with the unit, silicon case, manual, charger, USB and earphones. Most of the entry-level smartphones brands no longer include an earphone in their units, so it is nice to have the set included in the box.
Vivo Y73 First Impressions
I always go for minimal and sleek designs when it comes to smartphones. I really like Vivo Y73’s design and style. I got the Roman Black color which is reminiscent of the Ancient Roman columns renowned worldwide for their majestic grandeur.
For an entry-level smartphone, the Vivo Y73 feels premium with its glass surface, while the back panel is made of AG Matte Glass that doesn’t leave a fingerprint smudge.
It is slim at 7.38 mm and light weighing only 170 g. It feels easy to grip and hold, and take photos with it.
The screen gives a true-to-life color, with 20.9 aspect ratio and 6.44 AMOLED display. Taking clips and viewing photos are a lot more enjoyable.
The Vivo Y73 has 125 GB (that can be extended up to 1 TB). One of my considerations in choosing a smartphone is the storage memory. I need a device that can allow me to do things at high speed, without lagging. The Vivo Y73 is powered with an octa-core MTK G95 platform.
Storage is also important for keeping more photos and videos. I am the type who keeps all the photos in my camera (no matter if it is blurred or unflattering). More storage also means more functions you can do on your phone such as gaming (Vivo Y73 is running with Multi-Turbo acceleration engine for better gaming), watching movies or even editing videos.
I also love the fingerprint scanner embedded on the screen. Most of my devices are secured with fingerprint scanning security, and I like that I do not need to make a big adjustment on how to work with my devices. Fingerprint scanning allows for quicker access to camera or apps for documenting the best stories of our lives.
Wallpaper is my fave artist, Kurt Cobain (the fingerprint scanner is on the screen for easy access)
Battery is another important aspect of a good smartphone. The Vivo Y73 is powered with 4000mAh large battery, combined with 33W FlashCharge that charges 61% in just 30 minutes flat. This is perfect for travels and quick stopovers.
Vivo Y73 Camera and Sample Photos
The Vivo Y73 has an impressive 64MP Back Camera and AI Night Portrait Front Camera. I cannot wait to explore these features, and share my photos with my friends showng just how I experienced the moment.
Different features and filters for better stories
The Bookeh Camera feature would also be perfect for artistic photography. It gives depth and more stories to photos and backgrounds. While the SuperMacro feature provides a different experience in appreciating little details.
Current fave thing is my Harry Potter Bangle Bracelet, and amazed to see the details of the Hogwarts Letter using the SuperMacro camera feature
Testing the Bokeh Feature of the Vivo Y73. I cannot wait to play with it and be creative with my photos.
I also started documenting life through videos (you can follow my little adventures on my vlog). The Ultrastable Camera feature would be helpful in capturing details of memories, even if doing physical activity like skateboarding or running.
Sharing some random photos I took with Vivo V73. Always finding beauty in ordinary things. I love that the selfie camera presents the natural colors (including my flaws – gray hair). I cannot wait to take it to my next adventure.
