I always get excited about the idea of traveling, and this time around, as a fan girl. It was my first time seeing my BTS Bias, Min Yoongi (aka Suga of BTS or Rapper agustd) ‼️ Posting this on June 13th, BTS’ 10th Anniversary!
My friends and I flew from Manila to Jakarta to see/watch/experience the Agust D D-Day Concert Tour, and ticking this experience off the bucket list (but looking forward to 2025 Hehe!)
I wish I could write my feelings the same way Namjoon expresses his; anyway, sharing with you my recent adventure.
Manila to Jakarta for agustd D-Day Concert via Cebu Pacific Air
We flew to Jakarta to see BTS Suga and watch the AgustD D-Day Concert Tour.
Agust D-Day Ticket Redemption
Ticket Redemption was fast and easy. We arrived in the afternoon and I just presented my ID and ticket email notification to get inside the hall. There was no queue when we went. I just presented IDs (thankfully I brought my passport and SSS ID) and they asked an important question for verification (cannot reveal for their control point).
The feeling of getting my ticket/badge!
D-Day (Day 1)
I joined Ana at the D-Day Day One concert to send her off and to get a feel of the venue. Most of the attendees were wearing black and I guess Ana and I stood out and we were approached by a news outlet for an interview.
I would usually say NO to an interview (whenever we attend events in Manila), but that time, we were all game and excited for Min Yoongi!
D-Day (Day 2)
We spent our afternoon in the mall and BTS Pop-up Store located just in front of the concert venue. It was nice to have it timely set-up so ARMYs have something to get busy about before the concert day. We spent Rupiah 320,000 for the entrance which served as a store credit. It was fun and exciting, although I wish there were more merch available.
Happy Day with Ana and Paxie 💜
D-Day (Day 3)
D-Day! We decided to go to the Indonesia Convention Exhibition around 3:30 PM. Ana said that the organizers honor the badge numbers, so it was pointless to come early (which is good for a Tita like me).
When we arrived, we just took photos and videos outside, and off we went inside the convention hall.
For the D-Day Concert outfit, I just wore something I am comfortable in. I wore sneakers (in case I need to run), and brought a scarf (in case I feel cold). I didn’t have an ARMY Bomb with me, so I just borrowed Ana’s for photo. I love how she dressed up her light stick!
Everything was so organized, I was pleasantly surprised. There were food stalls inside the waiting area, more toilets and prayer rooms were opened to accommodate attendees, and there were marshalls in each station.
Even if we arrived in the afternoon, we were ushered in line based on our badge number. I think we got good numbers because I was able to book tickets during the ARMY Pre-Sale. While waiting to enter the concert hall, the staff knew how to hype the event and make us feel excited.
I
Inside the concert hall, sealed cups of water were being distributed. It was relatively comfortable. Indonesian ARMYs were so courteous, there was no pushing, whatsoever.
We waited for an hour before Suga came to the stage, carried by a group of men.
This is the D-Day!
My Suga August D D-Day Experience
I was stunned. I found myself just looking at him. He is so beautiful, he looks so unreal.
My phone camera was recording his every move – but oftentimes failed to capture him in the frame. I didn’t miss the chance to really enjoy his performance, see him move and hear him rap/sing. He is so skilled and good at what he does. He looked so good up in the stage doing what he loves doing.
He was sick (and coughing) during the D-Day in Jakarta, but he still managed to perform so beautifully.
I felt like I was in the middle of my dream. I cannot imagine seeing the 7 of them perform live. That’s the next goal.
with my suga babe, Paxie!!!
I may not be able to articulate all the feelings and emotions that night, I think I was mostly speechless, but my heart was screaming.
The end of D-Day
When lights went on to signal the end of the concert, we slowly walked our way out of the hall. The staff and marshalls were all waving and sending finger hearts to the concert-goers, completing the D-Day experience. It was a touching gesture. Again, going back to people who enjoy and love what they do. Thank you, Indonesia and IndoARMY for the experience!
Paxie and I decided to leave the venue immediately but failed to book a Grab Car. The traffic was heavy, but there were traffic enforcers manning the streets. We walked to the other exit, and rested a bit in front of the BTS Pop-Up Store, but still failed to book a Grab Car back to the hotel.
We walked down the road and negotiated with Go Jek motorcycles. Caring less if I was wearing a dress, it was a ride that I needed back to the hotel. Riding a speeding motorcycle was never part of the plan. I prayed hard for our safety, and although I felt like I am ready to die after seeing Min Yoongi, I still wanted to live a little more to savor the Yoongi experience. We made it safe and alive back to the hotel.
A hot bath and a Korean mid-night snack to end the day (or to welcome the new day).
My camera roll looking so cool with memories of Yoongi
Not a lot of people may understand why we sometimes cry or laugh, and spend our money on expensive things (merch) and experiences for these 7 boys in Korea; but the truth is what makes sense to me (or you) doesn’t need an explanation (or a long blog post).
Looking forward to 2025! 💜
Thank you friends for indulging me.
