The successor of the highly-rated HONOR 90 5G is a stylish all-rounder boasting an incredible camera system, display, and a range of smart features for enhanced user experience.

THE DESIGN | First Impressions
Light, slim, and sleek. The HONOR 90 Lite 5G feels light and easy on the hands 7.48 mm thin and weighing only 179 g (including the battery). It has a flat surface and metallic feel.
What stood out about the HONOR 90 Lite 5G are the back cameras which rest on an island with a dual-ring display (inspired by fine jewelry) giving it a really unique and distinct design. The power button and volume controls are on the right side, but it doesn’t have a headphone jack relying on Bluetooth connectivity for headphone use.
I got the Midnight Black color which really compliments my simple and minimalist style. For those who love colors, HONOR 90 Lite 5G also comes in the Cylan Lake and Titanium Silver. The 3 colors are all inspired by nature.
It is equipped with a 6.7-inch Edgeless Display2 with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.6%, allowing users to view content comfortably on a large screen such as watching short-form content or playing video games.
The camera features are also very impressive. One thing I really enjoy using is the 0.6 camera angle that works best for capturing landscapes and views, especially during travels.
PERFORMANCE
The HONOR 90 Lite 5G is powered by MagicOS 7.1, based on Android 13 with 8GB Memory + 256GB Large Storage for a smoother performance and larger storage capacity.
I mainly used the HONOR 90 Lite 5G for taking photos and browsing social media apps. It has a refresh rate of up to 90Hz12 making the viewing experience, like reading e-books a lot more convenient. For heavy users like content creators, you can also use it to take stunning videos and edit your materials.
The process was even made more convenient and easier with the Multi-video Recording feature that streamlines that process by allowing users to take a video utilizing multiple modes without stopping recording. While the AI Instant Movie lets users generate a complete video with minimal work. In an instant, you can create a movie/video and post it directly to your socials.
When using my gadgets, I want to make sure that they take care of my needs (instead of me, taking care of the gadget). The HONOR 90 Lite 5G has a HONOR Special Screen Cushioning Technology that uses unique adhesive materials that are more elastic than regular glue, boosting the device’s durability by strengthening its anti-seismic, anti-drop, and impact-absorbing capabilities. It prevents water, dirt, and dust from damaging the phone.
As a heavy mobile phone – user, I tend to spend more hours using my phone and straining my eyes. Thanks to the ÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification awarded to the HONOR 90 Lite 5G. It produces less blue light to help users reduce eye strain and fatigue, maintaining high levels of visual clarity without distorting the colors.
It also features E-Book Mode which transforms the display into a paper-like reader, and Dark Mode which protects the user’s eyes when using the phone in a dark environment.
One of the unique technologies that I encountered while using the new HONOR 90 Lite 5G is the Dynamic Dimming and Circadian Night Display.
Dynamic Dimming is one of HONOR’s latest eye-caring innovations feature, which helps to alleviate eye fatigue by as much as 18% by increasing blood circulation. While the HONOR’s Circadian Night Display mimics human circadian rhythms to reduce the amount of blue light exposure late in the day.
Basically, it helps increase melatonin by 20%, adding 30 minutes of additional sleep time.
The HONOR 90 Lite 5G is powered with 4500mAh Battery equivalent to 15 hours of music streaming, 14.4
hours of video playback, 20.5 hours of short clip browsing,
or 16 hours of social media exploring.
I used it mainly for taking photos and browsing, and it lasted 3 days without me needing to re-charge it.
CAMERA and SAMPLE PHOTOS
While everyone is a content creator, HONOR makes it easier for creatives to take stunning photos with its 100 MP Triple Camera System. It has f/1.9 aperture and amazing 100 MP resolution for capturing details in any scene – zoomed in or not.
The 5MP Wide & Depth Camera is perfect for capturing scenic shots, while the a 2MP Macro Camera with an f/2.4 aperture captures enthralling up-close images of tiny objects.
I took the HONOR 90 Lite 5G with me for a week of 7-day challenge wherein I used it for documenting my life. From catch-up with friends, to attending events, it helps me take memories with me in vibrant colors – even capturing moving moments and subjects.

I guess the only challenge I encountered while using the HONOR 90 Lite 5G was when transferring images to another phone. It appears that it compresses the file. I need to find a new way to transfer files (or maybe explore the HONOR Share feature).
For its price, the HONOR 90 Lite 5G is a good deal for a smartphone. You can take stunning landscape shots and intimate close-ups, and be creative with its Selfie Camera. The Super Storage of 8GB RAM and 258 GB storage is equivalent to 57,808 pictures, 22,322 songs, or 892 HD videos.
