Taiwan Excellence is making healthier living more accessible with LOHAS Days at Market! Market! – a three-day celebration that champions a Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) for Filipinos.

Beauty queen and health advocate Catriona Gray graced the opening celebration, where she shared simple ways she makes better choices and stays active while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Josephine Shun, Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, spoke passionately about Taiwan’s health advocacy:

“Taiwan is serious about health. Our government is promoting a big vision called Healthy Taiwan. Taiwan is known as the Bicycle Kingdom and one of the top three fitness equipment exporters in the world. I invite you to enjoy everything around you and have fun with your family and friends.”

It was inspiring to hear how Taiwan has made health and fitness part of its culture – something Filipinos can definitely connect with.

Mr. Alex Lai, Director of Taiwan Trade Center Manila, also highlighted how innovation is at the core of Taiwan Excellence:

“Seventeen Taiwanese companies have brought more than 30 innovative products. The Taiwan Excellence Awards have celebrated innovation as Taiwan’s core value. Behind every award is a simple belief: innovation brings a better life.”
