Converse Opens a Store and Launches New Collection!

September 21, 2011

When I once asked my rockstar if he thinks I would look good in Chuck Taylor, he said he couldn’t imagine me in such shoes. Maybe because they always see me in stilettos, pumps, sexy shoes, red heeled ones, with sexy straps, or a bow, but never a shoes with that star – trademark star from Converse.

But now, I want to show them I can wear Chucks and be as fierce as they thought I am. Check out these nice designs from the newly opened Converse Store in Eastwood Mall.

Fierce!

Comfy!

Spell F-A-S-H-Y-O-N!

For the kids!

I want a pair of each design!

Love the DC Collection!

Vintage it is?

People who knew me know I am falling inloved with this!

Cute!

Fierce!

But wait, there’s more. The classic Favorite Converse Chuck Taylor embraces modern twist with Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Modern. The lightest shoes in the world at 7.2 oz. It is breathable and lightweight, it features aero dynamic look complete with streamlined all mesh upper, color coordinated toe caps, two tones outsoles and the signature Chuck Taylor detailing.

Love the vibrant color of runner yellow, victoria blue, classic green and combination of black/purple, charcoal/pink, and white/high risk. Retails at Php3,150.

For those who love rugged style (wow, rugged, it’s been ages the last time I hear that term!), there is Converse Chuck Taylor Al Star Classic Boot. It is inspired by professions such as outdoorsmen, the hunters, the fishermen, and of course, US Army!

The collection uses icon Chuck Taylor midsole, and outsole as its base, premium nubuck leather or combination of waxed canvas and leather for its upper, and stitch detailing reminiscent of work boots. Available colors include balck, laidback chocolate, modern take with charcoal and athletic navy in premium nubuck leather for only Php4,390, and canvass leather combination of black and chocolate/black for Php3,190.

My friend and I were just discussing if this could pass as a work shoes for those offices which requires strict dresscode. The answer is – why not? Make the HR officer envy.

The launching was held in Blue Onion, in Eastwood City. Yes, does anyone remember Blue Onion?! Now, I feel so old. Blue Onion was one of the hippest places in the Metro in 2001. Now, Blue Onion is back with experts behind its name – Automotive expert and Marketing man Grench Go, Master Entrepreneur Andrew Ng, Ultimate Nightlife man Terrace Tang, and Basketball Genius Brian Chua.

The place is spacious with such nice, relaxed interior. It is designed by Wendy Lodriga with inspiration from usual clubs in Las Vegas.

Blue Onion serves good food, offering Filipino Japanese fusion that caters all taste buds. Blue Onion partnered with one of the top chef’s in the Philippines.- Chef Nino Laus, also one of the owners.

Not sure when  to visit Blue Onion?!
