Huawei just unveiled a new Android Smart watch that is smart, sophisticated and versatile.
I love watches. Sometimes, I want them sophisticated. Or playful.
Last night at Green Sun Hotel in Chino Roces, Makati, Huawei unveiled a smart watch. The technology somehow reminds me of Moto 360, Samsung Gear s2 and s3 watches that most of my friends from US are sporting and raving about.
Anyway, Huawei’s Smart Watch is a real watch in its sense that it has crown, frame and dials. Interestingly, you can even change it into different straps – stainless steel or genuine leather.
The watch has a 42mm face made in stainless steel with sapphire crystal and a genuine Italian leather wrist strap.
What makes the Huawei Watch Smart?
Well, it has the same features as your typical Android Wear Watch. It supports notification when you are in sync with your social media (for example, you get your notification straight to your watch when you get tagged in Facebook).Â
It also works with Google Now voice apps that makes communication much more efficient.
It has six-axis motion sensor, a barometric sensor, and a heart rate monitor for measuring activities such as walking, cycling, or climbing – or when you are just plain sedentary.Â
It can also calculate your sleep time, calories burned and steps taken.
These features are also present in the other Android Wear smartwatches but what makes me interested with Huawei’s is the fact that every piece is handcrafted and the materials are solid, the face is round as a real watch and the material doesn’t tarnish (which is perfect for acidic people).
The Huawei Watch starts at Php 19,990 for the Classic and Php 23,990 for the Active Black.
The Huawei Smart Watch will also be available online via Zalora.
