Inspiration: Strong Phenomenal Women I Adore

September 2, 2016
Strong Phenomenal Women I Adore
Three years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I left a good job in a multinational company to do something fun – blogging. My former coworkers told me that they were inspired with my decision – they say that not a lot of them are brave to stand up for what they want.

I never see myself as someone as phenomenal like other women who get their faces on billboards. I just think that I am successful in my own little ways and I celebrate life everyday. I set small, feasible goals and little by little work on bigger goals. Take for example my simple goal to be part of a global leadership and volunteer program. Read my interview here
Unlike other girls who have their  “icons” who they look up to, I do not have a list. So I thought I would mention some inspiring women who somehow inspired me to work harder, stay focused and be motivated during those times when I feel like questioning my life decisions.

The woman I love to hate. She lived a rock and roll life but behind her fierce look is a woman with a BIG heart. Her work as a UN Ambassador is all over the net. She is beautiful, strong and truly inspiring. I love you, Jolie!

Somehow I translated presidency to success – and it makes me better understand why people act certain ways.

The young diarist who changed the world and revealed history. One of my favorite lines:

And if I don’t have the talent to write books or newspaper articles, I can always write for myself. But I want to achieve more than that. I can’t imagine living like Mother, Mrs. van Daan and all the women who go about their work and are then forgotten. I need to have something besides a husband and children to devote myself to! …

I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death! And that’s why I’m so grateful to God for having given me this gift, which I can use to develop myself and to express all that’s inside me!

4. Pia Wurtzbach
Pia is truly the most deserving and most beautiful Miss Universe. She tried thrice to win the Miss Philippines title to bring home the Miss Universe crown. I would have quit on the first try (and think that beauty title is not really for me) but she showed the world that if you really want something – you would just keep on trying until you make it.

5. Rugby players Cassie Umali and Mina Calupitan

Cassie Umali and Mina Calupitan

I always wish I were sporty (but growing up, my mom got worried about broken bones and scratches on my legs :D). The only sport I am was good at is Chess. That’s why I am always amazed with women who do good in any sport. Two inspiring women are Rugby Players Cassie Umali and Mina Calupitan. Cassie is a sportscaster and TV host, while Mina is a Senior Coach and Athlete for Crossfit Manila South, a special education pre-school teacher.
They chose Rugby which is mainly a sports for men.

Watch the video of Cassie and Mina and be inspired. #walangimpossible
Truly, we are redefining the world where age, shape and gender do not define who you really are.
