Ed Hardy in the Philippines: Fashion for Tattoo Lovers

Edgy shirts, distressed jeans and distinct pieces. At the end of the #EdHardyxZalora Fashion Show in Globe Iconic Store in BGC last night, my friends told me that the iconic brand Ed Hardy represents (one of my many) style(s).

International Clothing brand, Ed Hardy has remained one of the pillars of the tattoo culture and brought tattoo artistry into a glamorous world of fashion. The question if I have a tattoo or not, that’s one thing only the person I get intimate with can find out 😉

Ed Hardy recognizes itself as the apparel for those who stand out and are not bound by presupposed fashion rules. The fashion show was spearheaded by its ambassador and tatoo artist, Ron Poe who did a bold music mix during the Zalora’s Fashion Night Out. Ron is dubbed as the Hippest Turntablist and Manila’s hottest Hip Hop Mash-up artist and founder of P&P Tattoo.

Other Ed Hardy’s Brand Ambassadors include DEUCE a.k.a Patty Tiu is ranked #27 in the DJane magazine worldwide (2015) and is the very first Filipino Female DJ to represent The Philippines for Zouk Out Prelude; and Kean Cipriano, Callalily’s lead vocalist. Their band’s debut album under Sony BMG entitled, Destination XY was an instant hit and received a Gold Record award in 2007. Kean crossed from being a musician to a TV personality.

I love how one can literally wear your tattoo on your sleeve. From skin to canvass, Ed Hardy translate the vibrant strokes of tattoo art into shirt designs paired with creativity. The brand brings fresh and daring opportunities for one to wear its personality.

Last night was truly a perfect combination of tattoo art, fashion and culture.
