I have a funny feeling that I would soon turn into a #KPop addict. My friend and I are booked to Korea and all the KPop, Kdrama and anything Korean that I am seeing in my feed and environment are starting to translate into an exciting feeling inside me. Well, it does help that I am friends with Anagon (Kdrama Girl!)
Bonchon recently let us experience Korea during the launch of its latest food offerings. It’s been a while since I visited Bonchon and I was excited for the short trip. The event was held at the Bonchon store in Ayala Malls 30th.
Aside from the menu, the store had a makeover making it instagram-worthy.
Let’s head straight to the food.
Bonchon’s Korean-Style Chicken is everything. It’s made with love as it is freshly hand-glazed with a handful selection of signature fusion of Korean flavors, 4 deliciously unique glazes that will most definitely make you crave differently. Each bite will surely give you the perfect Korean adventure
There is also Gangnam Bao – sandwiched between delicious two soft and creamy del Korean-Style Chicken. It is not your ordinary burger. You can choose if you want it steamed or fried – but you still get the same 100% real tender juicy chicken with the garlic soy flavor.
For some hearty fix, try the Jjiampong Spicy Noodle Soup. It is made with Korean Hot Pepper Flakes, special spicy seafood broth, egg noodles and crispy fish poppers. A little spicy for me but a good preparation for the authentic Korean food.
For those who love their rice, there is Bibimbowl. It has is a perfect balance of flavor and color and one of the few Bibimbowls that I enjoyed. Choose from different flavors – Original Fiery Spice and Creamy Curry.
To complete the royal Korean experience, have a delightful serving of Bonchon’s Bingsu. Choose from different flavors Matcha Vanilla, Strawberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Brownie and Mango Cheesecake. I always love the smooth ice shavings and Milky Kreme flavor of this sweet dessert.
