Oppo Enco Buds Review

Finding the best wireless earbuds with functions that fit your lifestyle can be a little tricky with so many options available in the market.

I got the new Oppo Enco Earbuds, and I can say it is one of the most affordable earbuds that produce decent sound. It delivers what it promises, without the extra added features that won’t quite meet consumers’ expectations which many of the newer earbuds carry.

Unboxing and First Impressions

It is my first time to review and feature an Oppo gadget, and I am quite impressed with the quality of its packaging. It is just always a nice experience to unbox something with hard box.

The box comes with the earbuds, charging case, paperwork and silicon earbud covers.

It is compact, minimalist and lightweight. I really like its refined look and feel. The glossy earbud body casing glows like glass under the sun. Each earbud only weights 4 grams and it feels comfortable to wear, even for long hours.

Binaural Bluetooth® Transmission²

Oppo Enco Buds feature Binaural Bluetooth® Transmission² which easily connects to your gadget. This is the first time I heard of such feature (or probably something highlighted by a brand). For other earbuds, they connect from left to right, while for Oppo Enco Buds, the Bluetooth transmission is simultaneous for both left and right earbuds. This eliminates the delay of ear-to-ear transmission models to realize a more stable audio experience.

One thing I like about the Oppo Enco Earbuds is it easily connects to my gadget via Bluetooth. I just simply opened the charging case and Bluetooth Settings in my laptop, and they simply sync. I like when brands simplify processes.

The Oppo Enco Earbuds features Bluetooth 5.2 chip that allows this stability and smooth connectivity possible.

Bass-Driven HD Sound

I am not the best person to talk about music, but I can appreciate good music and sound. I am not into any particular genre, but I love listening to music in which I hear different sound variations/ genre. This is the kind of musicality that made KPop popular – by combining different genre in a song – EDM, pop, rap, etc.

One of my favorite songs from BTS is Black Swan. I used the Oppo Enco Buds to listen to the song, and it does give a different overall listening experience. The feature allows you to enjoy the highest highs and the deepest bass with an 8 mm dynamic driver designed to channel the latest AAC audio coding.

Intelligent Call Noise Cancellation

The DNN model-based smart algorithm will extract your voice from surrounding noise during calls. This allows you to take in calls even in crowded places.

Game Mode

It appears that the Oppo Enco Earbuds is made for gamers with its 80 ms³ super-low latency Game Mode that syncs audio and visual for a more immersive gaming experience.

IP54 Dust and Water Resistance⁶

While everyone is still advised to stay home, it is good to know that Oppo Enco Buds can be worn outside and can withstand moisture, sweat and dust. This is especially perfect for traveling, or doing a quick run outside.

Smart Touch Controls

The Oppo Enco Earbuds has touch control features that you can also customize by downloading the HeyMelody app via Google Play Store. By default, you can Tap Once to Pause/Play, Tap Twice to Skip Track, Tap Thrice to Game On/Off, and Touch and Hold to adjust Volume.

It feels that the earbuds are quite sensitive as when I am putting it on, it already follows the “touch” command.

My Experience and Review: Oppo Enco Buds

The Oppo Enco Buds gives a decent sound in a compact and refined design. It delivers the features it promises, a good value for its price.

The sound is loud and clear, that when you set the volume to highest, the person beside you can hear what you are listening to.

One of the impressive features is its battery life which can give you 24-hour playtime (combining with battery life from charging case), and 15-minute charge to give you an hour of music play time.
