After my Sunday morning church, while on my way back to Midosuji where my friends were at for the Tay-New cup sleeves event, the train stopped at the Harinakano Station. The subway voice-over announced that it is the stop for Nagai Botanical Garden.
I decided to get off the train before it closed.
I messaged my friend #D telling her I would check out the nearby park, and she told me it was all good and I could have my me-time. I love traveling with friends, but I realized I also needed some time alone to explore. I felt the need to recharge my social battery.
I tend to be clingy with my favorite people, but I also crave time alone. Thank you for giving me the 6th Love Language – space.
It was a 15-minute walk from the subway station. The weather was hot, but not humid. I was on a mission to complete 20,000 steps. I love that I could complete it without rushing. I am always taking my time.
The entrance fee is JPY 200. I was planning to just stay for 30 minutes. I love parks, and I wish we have more of these in Manila.
Nagai Botannical Garden is like a haven for artists. There are painters and photographers, and there I was, a blogger/content creator. I found my spot and just rested. I took the time to update my Instagram (what is growth, I did real-time posting of my photos during the trip!), and disconnected to reconnect with myself.
I saw families and old couples (taking each other’s photos).
There are 1,200 species of plants and flowers in 11 separate gardens inside the botanical park, but I did not need to know all of them to appreciate each one’s beauty.
I spotted the place for the teamLab exhibition, and I thought it would be nice to visit at night. I had a nice experience at the teamLab in Fukuoka, but we didn’t have time to do this in Osaka.
Klook.comHere are some random photos I took as I wandered around.
I like the solace of being alone in such a beautiful and quiet place.
Being alone is meditation. I got to be with my own feelings, thoughts, and senses. They open things about me that I never knew.
